  1. I have been trying to tune my rifle (several actually) to use a Voodoo LMOS BCG with no luck. I have an adjustable gas block. I can swap in a standard BCG and the gun will run fine and the gas will adjust from single shot to bolt lock back. With the standard BCG is works with rifle buffer empty and full of weights. I sighted it in yesterday with the LMOS set up and slow fire off the bench it worked fine, then intermittently it would not cycle for rapid fire. Dropped in the standard BCG with no weights in the buffer and it ran like a scalded dog. Any insights? Thanks in advance.
  2. If this helps, I found these... https://getbattleready.us/product/magazines/
  3. My experience with women and shotguns is they are usually too heavy and long for them, even if it feels good in your hands. I have a 1301 and find it to be light and low recoil but all the girls in the family found it to be a boat anchor. I recently bought a Stoeger 3020 a 20ga to get the kids started. They found it heavy too. I am planning to send it for the Stoeger therapy to MOA (if he will do it) at least as a temporizing measure. I have shot skeet with it and was impressed with it. A youth sized gun will go a long way in my opinion.
  4. 3GN-Tube length not mentioned, rounds in the tube more specifically mentioned.
  5. We just slide the MGM static ones into the 2x2 holder and use a rubberband.
  6. They have a compact listed but I have not been able to find one. Mr MOA I can send one over for a tune up.
  7. I tried the shoelace trick and whacked myself in the knee hard enough to swear. The pliers and leather, kinky as it sounds, worked. I am using a Stoeger 3020 to build a gun for my kids, the bolt knob is .190-.195. Is that smaller than the 12 ga versions (for those in the know like OpenClassTerror)? Thanks
  8. On my beretta you push the bolt head back a tad, same for this?
  9. USPSA multi gun rules: 5.3.4 A competitor who, for any reason during a course of fire, safely and intentionally places the firearm on the ground or other stable object will not be disqualified provided the competitor maintains constant physical contact with the firearm, until it is placed firmly and in a safe direction, securely on the ground or another stable object, and remains within 1 yard of the firearm at all times. 3GN: 1.5 Grounded Firearm Definition: A firearm will not be considered grounded until another firearm is discharged. You are permitted to go back and rectify incorrectly abandoned firearms left in an incorrect condition or location until the next firearm is discharged. Any firearm that has been grounded can no longer be used in the course of fire. You will be allowed to go back, retrieve an abandoned firearm and re-engage targets. A re-holstered pistol is not considered grounded, but a pistol abandoned in a designated container will be considered grounded after the next firearm is discharged.
  10. I can not for the life of me get the bolt handle out of mine. Any tips?
  11. Good point. So how about violating rule 13.4? Really no different than the USPSA 3 foot muzzle language or covering your lower extremities with the muzzle, just a lot less words.
  12. There are a few rifles that are similar to an AR that take glock mags, are those out? I.E. Just right carbine, TNW aero, Centerfire Systems has a "Nano", or for CT a NoNo?
  13. Actually a hot pistol in the prone position violates the 180. Nothing so nefarious as you guys are imagining.
  14. For me I cut a wooden dowel for my shotgun to make it an 8 only gun, and sighted in a red dot for my AR and I am good to go in either division.
  15. Call Rock Island. They have an in house Smith who can fit a 40 barrel for you. I forget his name but gets good reviews.

  17. I bought the 20ga version 3020 for the kids to shoot. It looks promising, lightweight and reliable so far. I have not started filing on it yet but may shoot it in a match before I get there.
  18. If you are planning to shoot limited, buy a limited gun and shoot 3gun with it. No downside.
  19. Build it on a 10mm Glock for a little more beef, if you are worried about a small frames durability.
  20. I load the MBC 180's with 4 grains of Bullseye for major PF. I have another 1k or so of plain lead before I switch over to the coated ones.
  21. I just tried out some 140 grain coated lead bullets from Missouri Bullet Company. I quickly shot the 100 count trial pack up and will order 1k when I get around to it. I have shot thousands of their lead bullets without difficulty.
  22. What is affordable? I would suggest something in titanium. Plenty to choose from.
