I picked up a big lot of 308 ammo a while back and included was some factory remanufactured ammo of LC brass.  I was using that for short range blaster ammo saving the match ammo for long range.

 

One day at the range I had a case rupture out of this ammo.  I decided to pull all the bullets and reload with my known.  This past weekend I shot a match and had a near identical case rupture.  I will pull all these and use fresh brass.

 

I am thinking these may be reprocessed machine gun brass.  Any thoughts.  All other ammo has run perfectly thru 2 AR10’s.

Design Features:
Extended cone for a smoother transition and a more secure lockup.
The first two chambers are angled at 15 degrees rearwards. The first chamber also features a radiused rear top surface for improved recoil mitigation.

Please note that the cone is slightly oversized to accommodate CZ factory tolerances, and as such, fitting is required. This can be achieved by adjusting either the cone of the comp or the interior of the slide to ensure a perfect fit.

I run the EPS Carry after the trying 407k.  I had a direct mill done.  I prefer the non lint collecting of the EPS Carry on my carry gun.  I shoot it in IDPA, works great.

I would still be shooting limited if I could see the sights.  I still shoot irons occasionally in IDPA or L10 for Heavy Metal practice.

I think for 2/3 gun a well set up CO/LO gun would work just fine.

Just choose a single port comp for a carry gun.   It helps recoil but no need to run high power factor.

I just added LOK brass grips and magwell and it seems to help.  10 oz weight in the grip.  Very blingy too.

I think the S2 is too heavy for IDPA.  Perhaps the S2 compact?

I had CZC mill a TS2 for a RMR plate.  Plenty of performance for half the cost of a Czechmate.  I also have a Czechmate and don’t see the slide mounted optic as an advantage over the frame mounted one for open.

I would say my P10F with brass backstrap is very competitive with my S2.  My kids shoot the P10f for ease “manual of arms”.

First off “tuned” magazines do lose their tune.  Is it all mags or a specific mag? Is it your 170 mag?  I find those more troublesome.

 

Discrepency in reloaded rounds in COAL seems to be related to consistent bullet size.  Die setting (if tight) should not differ from round to round.  Try another bullet profile from someone else.  
 

I run my completed rounds thru a Lee FCD and case checker and don’t really focus on uniformity in COAL and my Czechmate runs like a top.  I use factory short tubes with an extension and MBX for 170mm for 100% function.

Since I have a Czechmate and mags, I went with the TS2.  I opted for CZC RMR Direct mount plate vs the RDS plate (which I have on my S2).  It is pretty clean.

[Who has converted there 40 TSO to Limited Optics?]

I agree with Mr Grumpy regarding shootability of 40 minor.  You are at a disadvantage in a 20-23 round stage as you would need a reload.  

On the positive side you may cut more perfs  with that extra 0.5 mm.  
I am routinely beat by production and SS shooters requiring many more reloads.

Hi, I was thinking of making a Tac Sport 2 into a LO gun.  I already have a Shadow 2 milled with the CZC plate system and enjoy that.  They also offer a direct mill RMR plate that avoids the dot overhang, and a direct mill.
 

Primary Machine offers a direct mill (as do a few others).  Just looking for info based on actual experience as to which way to go…

[Mag Well for Shadow 2?]

I think the CZ 18 round mag and a plus 5 extension will be too long to fit the gauge.  CZC makes an extension for the 16 and 18 round mags specifically.  Others are based on the Mecgar 17 round mag.
