  1. My favorite folks in the industry released this catalog cover. Can you find the error?
  2. Well, if we're goin' there: "funbags".
  3. You're assuming you're in HER house, right...? What if you dragged her to YOUR cave....? Are ya willing to leave her alone in YOUR house...? Acck. Of course it's HER place. There are flowers on the nightstand, fer christsake, and it looks like it snowed in there!
  4. I'll have to disagree with the others here, having shot both back to back. The 10 shot carries up noticeably earlier than the 6 shot and has a distinctly different double action feel. It's not a huge deal but it's noticeable if you're a discerning revo shooter.
  5. It sounds like you may have sustained significant damage to your roof. Take pictures and have an independent expert go up for a look.
  6. You might want to chrono that ammo again. Something is wrong. 131 pf is low out of a G34. Should be a bit over 140. Chalk the steel up to experience. If you watched someone adjust it just before your run and called your shot well, move on and call for a calibration when you're done. Depending on the COF, 6 shots to drop one piece of steel might have cost you more than taking the miss.
  7. Since you seem to be in no hurry, I'd take the advice of previous posters and send it to Dillon. It's quite easy to tear down a 550 but some speialized tools are required. These tools are a galvanized nail (spike) with the tip ground flat and an alignment tool for setting things back in place during reassembly. The nail was essential, the alignment tool helpful. Both were provided by DIllon, with instructions, free of charge.
  8. Usually runs 3/16". I like to file or grind the chamfer off mine so the screw makes full contact with the driver.
  9. Be sure that all of your moon clips are absolutely flat. Check them on a piece of glass. Bent clips can contribute to light strikes by acting as a shock absorber. What style firing pin does your gun use? EGW makes a replacement for the frame mounted pins that can help. Oh yeah, have you considered Federal primers?

    9mm breechface won't work with .40.

  12. Wow, I sure didn't expect to be the lone holdout for 9mm........... Let me sell it some more by stating that MY single stack is 100% using McCormick .38 super 10 round mags. My STI wide-body is also good-to-go after some initial problems getting her to lock open when empty. Did I mention I REALLY don't like picking up brass and can get all the 9mm brass I want for free.
  13. Asking for votes, and having a hot wife, seems to be the way to win this contest: http://glocktalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=347755 Since I know you NEED to see: http://glocktalk.com/showthread.php?s=&thr...t=&pagenumber=4 Good luck to your son, though. Right now he's looking at walking away with this: http://www.riflescopes.com/products/LEU579..._riflescope.htm
  14. I've owned both types in single-stack form and an STI Eagle in 9mm. Still have the 9's and the super is gone..... The reason I sold the super and held on to the 9's is because factory 9mm is cheap, easy to find, and there is no guilt if I don't want to rat the brass up when I'm done. As many have posted here, 9mm can easily be loaded to major power factor if that is what you desire. I've shot my buddy's 9mm major load in both guns and, while you know you touched off a hot one, the guns ran beautifully. Kicked butt on bowling pins, actually Mine run reliably with factory-length (and power) ammo but if you're going to load your own it shouldn't be a problem to load 'em long if you need to.
  15. I did it for a buddy. Don't have a way to post the image though. Anybody want to help?
  16. Midway has, at this time: 5 single stage flat and 1 curved 13 two-stage flat, 0 curved All for small pin guns

What are you using for sights? How does your POA/POI change with different barrels and loads?

    trigger reset

From your description it sounds as if things may be operating properly. Have you tried it on the range or only dry fired it? The Glock trigger does not offer a second strike capability and is not a true double-action. Look here to find a downloadable armorers manual: http://www.biggerhammer.net/manuals/

  20. This one is chambered 9mm. Recoil is so soft and the gun shoots so flat that, in Eriks words, "dude, it's like cheating"
  21. Erik, Very unassuming, but way cool, blaster. Let us know what recoil system you settle on. See my post for one that is a little flashier
  22. It isn't the $10 it will be the funding scheme that will get under their skin like it does mine. I, for one, won't subsidize a pot for a few people who will be winning prizes anyway. I don't go to major matches to see or compete with our cadre of professional shooters, I go to have fun with friends and test my shooting skills. AMEN, BROTHER!

  24. Just wanted to let you know about a USPSA new shooters class that is being offered at Shooters Paradise in Woodbridge, VA. Several of the assistants are actual, for real, BE.com forum members! From their literature: "This class will prepare you for competition in IPSC and IDPA matches. It is neither a beginners nor a self-defense class. Participants will improve their skills with a handgun in the areas of safety, hit probability, and speed. They will learn about action shooting sports and meet people with similar interests. All fees paid go directly to Shooters Paradise to help recover some of the cost of classroom and range time. The instructor staff is comprised entirely of experienced volunteers. The lead instructor is an avid USPSA competitor, certified Chief Range Officer, and NRA certified pistol instructor. He has organized and directed USPSA matches at the highest levels. He has been teaching this class for over 10 years. Range safety is a priority and certified USPSA Range Officers will be assisting during the live-fire drills on the range." More information here: http://www.shootersparadise.com/uspsaclass
  25. So, you guys carry a 9mm......how's it compare to that .45 my buddy's holding behind you?
