I've been reading for some time now about a 930 and I have one now (just could not wait any longer for Jerry's version). I've read time and time again about issues with tube extensions having issues, either with the spring or the junction with the extension. So I was talking with my good friend about making a complete replacement for the stock tube in his machine shop. I know this will not fix any spring issues but my questions is has anyone seen this before and what do you think about the idea?

I have the CTD SWAT bag and I could not be more happy!! I has everything but a water bottle slot but I take a large half gallon so it doesn't affect me. Has everything I'm going to need for my 3 gun matches except my belt. Pistol in one side pocket and all the mags in the loops. Three caddies, two single double stack mag holders, holster, eyes and ears on half of the main area and all the ammo I'll need on the other side. Basic cleaning kit, some extra chokes, roll of pasters, extra foam backup plugs, and some other stuff on the other side pocket. The two end pockets have my up-lula, staple gun, spray paint, set of shooting gloves if needed, extra set of eyes, chamber flags, and a few other items. If I know I'll need extra stuff, it has molle straps that I can just attach what I need. And $20 on sale. It is not the best bag I've seen but it is far, far from something that you get as a promo. Next time they are on sale at CTD, I'll be getting two more.

Ok, I'm new also so I'll ask for forgiveness up front. If I understand correct, you weld the lifter because a stock lifter has some edges and such that will try to rip your thumb off. What I have not seen is what is a welded lifter? Do you replace the whole lifter? Do you only do this if you have opened up the receiver? I know most of you have been doing this for some time but the noob's need a few more ideas, heck a pic or two would not hurt either (you're proud of that shotty so show it off) If there is a thread promod and I have missed, link us there. 'Can' anyone confirm this? 30 Days, I'll go into the local gun store and start talking it up and hope to put some $$$ down.
