Been going for 6-7 years to the BitB
All good things come to an end!
Looking for a match in April on the east side of the states
Always used that for my first outdoor match of the year.
Trying to find a good replacement match.
Doesn't have to be SS/Prod only match.
We always used it as a vacation / match weekend!
Thanks for suggestions!

Not quite sure how that business model is going to help them.
As said above kinda disappoints me.

Well, I shot a 100% classifier 18-06 "For That Day" during my regular match on 12/28 and it's sitting there in the system with the "P" flag until the classification program runs this Tuesday, at which point I should be a Master. Quite happy about that...
Good on ya!
Congratulations.

e3 is what I switched to from Clays years ago.
Seems to be less spikey as you get near to max
Especially if you load it for 40 major FWIW

Seems like a lot of folks have jumped on the SP train. It's becoming increasingly difficult to find the 8lb jugs in stock.
My guys said 8lbs are no longer available. He got me 2 4lbs for the same price as the last 8 lbs I bought

.358 shoot and load fine in all my 9mm. they often shoot more accurately in several of them.
2.6-2.8 of titegroup is what I've always used
When I developed my loads I went 8% less powder than my 145-7 gr loads
Redneck reasoning that the bullet was ABOUT 8% heavier no I didn't do the math , just approximated!
Sorry to all the math guru's and scientists

I just finished a new 9mm build and took it out yesterday to proof it.
The spring in it was a 10 or 11 lbs that I had on the bench when I started the build.
Everything safety "double" checked and functioned in live fire, the first 100 rounds.
Had one or two failure to lock back.
So near the end of the first 100 rounds I changed to a 9lbs Wolfe Variable .
Once again I was pleasantly surprised at how much difference a spring makes.
The front sight just kinda bounced in the rear blade for the next hundred rounds.
Which I shoot as fast as I can load mags: 3 or 4 at a time, to duplicate a USPSA 32 round stage.
For me it makes sure there is nothing going to bind up from the gun heating up etc
Back to springs, as stated above, 8-10 is the ball park, for me and this new build 9 variable seems to be the sweet spot.

either .050 like Sarge said or 1/16. they strip fairly easily due to STI using poor quality metal in them.
Get replacements from CK or SVI. SVI used to use a torx bit on them so they hold a little better.

What is the benefit of doing that, and what do you machine?
Benefit is supposed to be to soften the pistol by increasing the length of the slide movement.
What you do is take some off the dust cover to allow the slide to travel father to the rear while it's reciprocating!

C-More arrived more quickly than expect ... it came with the tactical spacers, so I will need to pickup some shorter screws to remove that from the equation (guessing 10-32 x 5/8).
I think the screws that hold the scope to the railway are 1/4x 20. Don't remember the length!
I think again that I'm wrong I just picked up a bag with 1/4-20 screws in it , while cleaning my bench up. they look way to big.
Probably best to pull one of the screws and bring it with you to the hardware store. Get slightly longer ones and trim them to length.
I "think" again that they may be two different lengths. Going by memory and haven't had a c- more off the base in a long time!

Star line worked fine for when it was new for me, it was after that initial loading I had issues. Have you only fired the brass once so far or multiple times?
I had the same issues
Even when I called Starline they suggested to use some one else's brass FWIW

I think Tripp still does hard chrome. Iirc

Grips are 185.00 and up for the Tungsten Legion grip.
So IF you want to turn the x5 into a heavy gun latter, the price is the same.
I'd consider the x5 if you're shooting Carry Optic or 3 gun due to the 4 21 round mags.
If you're shooting production then the Legion is probably worth the money for the 17 round mags that are production legal.
I'd think about the fact if you want to sell it down the road the Legion will move quicker.
Also re visit the mag, thoughts before you buy.
I own one tung. grip and 3 x-5s
Honestly, when I'm practicing during the shooting season I split them all about the same
but the weight does seem to make it easier (as said above) if things get a little sloppy!

I've shot 9 mm Revo for awhile and have one set of mixed and a 4 die set from Lee. with the FCU
If the FCU is set up to just close the bell of the expanded case it seems to work fine with Bayou 160's sized at .358.
If you're shooting a 929 a lot of shooters find .358 bullets are more accurate than smaller 356 bullets commonly used in a 9mm auto.
Since you get all of your brass back shooting revo, I suggest you standardize on one head stamp.
I use Win or Speer but I personally know other 929 shooters who use FC, Blazer and one who uses RP.
Stay away from Starline as it often sticks in 929 Ti. cyl after the first reloading of it.
I used some and new unfired it worked fine: as soon as it was tumbled and re loaded it stuck in the cyl with the same load recipe.
good fortune with the Revolver shooting glad to have you on board in Rev. division
Merry Christmas

Isn't it as simple as machining the recoil spring tunnel? Any machinist can do this.
Yes it is as simple as that Jim.

EGW Dovetail mount on a 226, DDP optic for over 30,000 rounds
Bbl cracked at about 100k on the gun and replaced the bbl
Optic didn't need to be resighted by some miracle of God and sig!! LOL
DT mounts work great, also have one on an old 1911 that has well over 50k on it with an old style delta point still running strong!

Direct is always going to be better i.e. one less interface
But
.200 or less of height is not much to get used to.
Dryfire and live fire practice generally will solve that issue
Keep practicing it'll come!
Merry Christmas

You are best served with new loading dies. Lee now has 38 Short Colt Die set. Works Great.
You can make Fed and R-p brass into long colt without problems, at least none for me.
BUT
just buy the Starline brass and be done with it. Stuff lasts forever

Starline Brass
TK or Revo supply 025's

I’m just wondering, why not Delta Point Pro?
Not the new flavor of the month.
Problems are known, so no surprises.
The sro is still being figured out, double dots when facing the sun, some on off issues, some problems I'm sure with the sig stuff also.
I run sig and DPP s no major problems with either. Had problems with multiple dots the first time out with the sro so I off loaded it as quickly as I got it.
Might try a holosun on a practice gun this coming year.
Buy a name brand and go shoot

Not sure that firearm mnfctr's legal departments sanction the use of any ammo -
Every instruction manual says no reloads. So lol with the +p+ statement.
Nevermind major loads in an open gun
-
Just keep it simple reloading technique.
measure pf of factory load you want to duplicate.
and load 124gr hp jacketed bullet to same pf and oal .
practice away

That makes it easy.
I've worked it the last 5 years or so.
I thought they were going to touch base with the folks that worked it.
Haven't heard from them so thought they hadn't got anything together.
Guess I should have checked better!!!
Thanks for the update!
