  1. Bump to see if anyone has found a true solution to this: My M&P Pro 40 started doing the "dead trigger" think in April. I have the current sear block/spring. Gave it to my gunsmith who tweaked the thing, put 40 rounds through it with no failure. He gave it back to me, and it died on the 3rd shot. Ordered a new trigger bar and installed. Got dead trigger in first magazine. Swapped slides with a friend who has a 4.25 M&P. I had my grip and his slide assembly (he, obviously, the reverse). My setup worked fine, and his experienced the dead trigger (albeit not as frequently). I thought I had isolated the failure to my upper, so I ordered a new striker assembly. I put it in on Friday, bought some White Box and took it into the woods. 3rd shot, failure to reset. I'm ready to melt the gun down for scrap. Can anyone tell me if they have fixed this?
  2. I am having the same problem. The only way I can fix the problem is to pinch the hook which sits under the sear so it is closer to the right of the gun. this seems to let it slip out from beneath the sear so the trigger will reset. This however seems to nullify the RAM, so I no longer have a nice tactile reset. I'm having a buddy who is a gunsmith look at it. I put a brand new trigger bar in last weekend, and had to tweak the bar to get the gun to work.
  3. This is crazy. I've had my .40 Pro for almost 2 years now and converted it to a Limited gun last year, but I'd still love one to shoot in production. I ran Julie G. at Area 1 over the weekend and wanted to ask her about it again, but figured it might be interpreted as RO intimidation...
  4. So, did anyone ever get a ruling on this from NROI? It's a bit of a moot point for me as I just installed the FSS and trigger, which would not be production legal, but since the M&P Pro in .40 is STILL not on the production list (I'm celebrating my first anniversary with this shooting iron, so not being Pro legal is a little frustrating), I've turned it into an L-10/Limited burner. I have some shooting buddies who are interested in the platform.
  5. Yeah, I finally reconciled that... It was more that the rule was (to me, anyway) vague on whether it was the total number of hit on ALL the targets, or the hits PER target...
  6. Additional clarification, if possible... Does the X number of shots = X number of hits apply to the ENTIRE scoring area, rather than the individual targets? Where I'm going is, lets say you have a WSD indicating that you fire 2 shots each at two targets. In the COF, the shooter fires 4 shots total. When scored, he has 1 hit on target 1, and 3 hits on target two. He has the same TOTAL number of hits as shots specified, but they are not distributed the way expected. Is the 3rd hit on the target considered an "extra" hit? I would think not, but it's not completely clear in the rule book.
  7. Lacey was working on an email for you when I left but I don't know if she has sent it yet. I'm headed back to the shop in a few minutes and I'll check on it and let you know if there's a problem. Whatever it is she'll have it taken care of that's for sure. Thanks for the reply! I did get an email from Lacey, and I did end up with a duplicate order. Things seem to be proceeding quickly. Thanks again!
  8. Got voicemail. Left a message. Thanks!
  9. I hope this is not taken the wrong way, and if I'm not being appropriate, please let me know. I didn't see any threads about this when I searched... I placed (I think) an order for a magwell and base pads with SSS on Thursday last week. When I was submitting the order, my browser crashed so I'm not certain if the order went through. SSS states that they do not send an email when you place an order, so I have no way of verifying that my order was placed. 48 hours later there was no charge to my bank account, so I resubmitted the order yesterday. I also emailed to explain the situation, indicating that I didn't want both orders fulfilled, and to please let me know if they needed further information to process the order. I still haven't heard anything (I had also emailed early last week asking about a product) from them, and still don't see any charges on my account. I don't wish to be a pain, but I also have over $500 in charges and merch floating in cyberspace, and would like to know if/when I'll get my stuff.
  10. Same here! I posted to the S&W Facebook page asking for any update and got a terse "no update" reply... My follow-up was a "no news is good news," which to me doesn't make sense. I can't imagine that USPSA would reject the pistol, so to me, no news is no news.
