  1. I like the Pocket Pro 2 for the reasons above - unit fits my hand and the big start button can't be mistaken for anything else.
  2. This is a one string stage that requires no more than 12 shots and there should be two holes in each target at the end of the COF. This happened, so there are no extra shots, no extra hits and there was no stacking. I'd give 1 proceedural for not following the stage description for the two shots into the first target and 1 proceedure for the delayed reload.
  3. Jodi - I know that Rule 1.2.1 specifies the maximum number of shooting positions in Short and Medium courses, but Rule 1.2.1.3 is silent on the number of shooting positions in a Long course. Where is the reference to a long course needed at least 4?
  4. At club matches I publish to Practiscore as soon as the match wraps up and to UPSA a few hours later. If it's a special classifier match, I'l delay the upload to USPSA for 24 hours. This way, if I've made an error, much easier to correct.
  5. Thank you - I appreciate the help!
  6. I've gotten the basics of prop placement, but am having trouble learning how to get fault lines lengthened and adjusted in the stage. I'd appreciate any suggestions.
  7. At Maine Practical Shooters, I use pretty much the same process as Biker, but try to have shooters register on line for an easy download into Practiscore - that helps reduce errors on my part. Our iPads travel with the squad - I've learned to keep a backup iPad in case of overheating in the summer. I email a practisore.com link to shooters shortly after the mach for results and have learned to wait a few days before uploading to USPSA - there's aways someone who was in the wrong division or PF. For our December match, I'll bypass ExWinScore for the first time.
  8. The 2014 Northeast Sectional Championship has just been approved! The match will be held August 30 & 31 simultaneously at both the Capitol City Rifle & Pistol Club (Augusta ME) and the Hampden Rifle and Pistol Club. Shooters will be divided into two groups and will shoot half the match at one club on Saturday, then swith to the other club Sunday. The match will have 11 stages, plus a side stage to benefit the Nicholas James Foundation. Match fee is a bargain $65.00. This is a great time of year in Maine - warm days and cool evenings. For more information including registration form and stage descriptions, go to www.northeastsectional.com If you're interested in ROing, please email me at lee_cabana@mac.
  9. Does anyone know when Practiscore Match Management will be available for general use?
  10. Ken - since Maine Practical Shooters stated using Practiscore last August, I've incorporated the initials MPS in each match name to allow our shooters to search on that and see a list of all past matches at our club. Lee
  11. Is is possible to search the Match Results at practiscore.com by club? If so, how?
  12. Here at Maine Practical Shooters I can usually get scores out the same day. A number of shooters will download the match to their phones before leaving the range. Even with Practiscore, post match paperwork takes a couple of hours - move the match to EzWinScore, upload to USPSA, find my wallet at the bottom of the range bag and sent payment to USPSA, draft and send email to shooters with the Practiscore link plus thank you mentions to everyone that helped plus getting the deposit ready to take to the bank Monday and submit that to the club treasurer.
  13. Has anyone gone to www.clubs.practiscore.com and seen the beta of Practiscore Match Management? Looks like it will allow online registration and download directly into Practiscore.
  14. Grumpy - You can have an all steel stage, just not an all plate stage. Classifier 06 10 Steely Speed VII is an all popper stage.
  15. Welcome from Winslow Maine! Lee
  16. Regarding the search feature, I keep the rule book on my phone - it makes it easy to find a rule during a match.
  17. At Maine Practical Shooters, I've been lucky to have a core group arrive early and get the set up process started with people pitching in as they arrive - just about everybody sticks around for the tear down that ends up taking about 15 minutes. When someone needs to scoot, they'll let me know and everyone is cool with it.
  18. I faced the same decision last year - I figured in for a penny, in for a pound. Spent a few more dollars and got the 650. After a year of use, I've long forgotten what the price difference was and am very pleased with my choice.
  19. What part of eastern PA? I lived in the Poconos for a few years and my daughter is in Forty Fort -
  20. I've just started loading 380, about 600 rounds so far. And no issues at all -
  21. I thought about Mr. Bullet Feeder, but after thinking about it, realized I hated loading primers more than putting bullets on the cases - I've asked Santa for an RF 100 primer loader. I saw a box with the Dillon logo on it being wrapped last night!
  22. I don't think a fee difference helps - I've read studies that show people will happily pay a small penalty fee to ease their conscience. At my matches here in Augusta Maine I include a piece on match etiquette as part of the shooters briefing and feel I get the needed help. There are alway the small group of dedicated that show up at 7:00 am and really make the match possible.
