  1. This happens every 4 years. Every 4 years people say it is the worst, ever, cry a lot. Every 4 years I agree with that assessment. In between those 4 years, it is always an insanely plentiful buyer's season. Even when prices dont die back down to pre-election pricing, they have been very reasonable, even accounting for inflation. Before the shortage hit this past time, it was one of the best. Factory quality 9mm for $10 a box to your door. 223 was under $300 shipped per 1k to your door. We told everyone to stock up on componentsand ammo. Many didn't listen. Many said money was an issue, then bought brand new expensive cars, guns, etc. Then the same thing happened every 4 years. It wasn't money. It was priorities. I'm a poor ex college kid, so instead buying a nice car, I continued to drive my $2000 Toyota and bought enough 223 and 9mm to last at least a year of drought, which was typical of what we saw every 4 years, no matter how long they always said it'd be a shortage for. I'm not here to condescend; on the contrary, because I stocked up, I was able to equip earnest local new shooters with 9mm supplies when they couldn't and lined up at Academy for 4hrs every week. We always hear, "well some us don't...etc". Maybe. But I think the real answer is priorities. The rest are excuses. Reminds me of the parable of the grasshopper and the ants.
  2. They say the same thing every time. And it does get worse, every time. But it never lasts to be even close to as bad as they predict.
  3. Wow.... But also how did they know which one were bots?
  4. Friends that put in the order said it would come in Feb. Haven't heard from them. Will check.
  5. Many are worried that the same thing that happens every 4 years will occur to them if they spin up new factories or businesses; going out of business first from the lack, then from the abundance.
  6. *large qty, autocorrect I believe it was 9c a spp.
  7. Thanks sir! I heard they were stocking Ginex w discounts on large quiescent, just last month.
  8. Thanks for the feedback. I read here just now that a guy's Glock wasn't setting em off. What pistols did you use em in?
  9. Are they any good? I heard someone say that they read on benos that they weren't great.
  10. Ahhaahahhaha Thanks for all the laughs from your post. Be it as it may spark a whole separate flame war; yes, there are better options vs the Serpa (like with Safariland). And yes, it is their fault for not being safe with their firearms and not training themselves correctly. Many of us have used Serpas without issue. Many of us also have bought better holsters.
  11. Yeah, I get that you can tune it so it borderline will almost never come out, but can still be drawn if you are determined.... that's kinda how we set up our Bladetech level 1 holsters with the thumb screw when shooting 3G. I still will always recommend a level 2.
  12. That's awesome. Glad you didn't have to use it as your boat anchor... though it certainly would be heavy enough to do the job
  13. Awesome! I also load to 1.08 for the CZ. It does shoot long 115gr very well (1.150), but can get into issues with reliable ejection. I wonder if there is an extractor/more aggressive upgrade, somewhere.
  14. I really like the design, but unlocking on the clock might get clunky, more in USPSA, but also in 3G. Pretty much all use Lvl 2 retention in 3G. If you shoot 3G, some find it a good idea to also use the same Lvl 2 in USPSA so as to have the training be homogenous. It really doesn't slow your draw down if you train with it. You also aren't winning from a faster draw. Something to think about. I shoot a plastic fantastic, so I just crank down my Bladetech in USPSA or 3G and it doesn't even move. I don't want to bash, but I am not a fan of RHT even before watching your video. Thank you for sharing your experience, I'm sorry it happened.
  15. I have this exact same viewpoint... I thought I was alone on it! Like many things, it isn't a good/bad but more pros/cons. I think some added grippiness is good, but as you ramp up, you lose the ability to easily shift your grip when needed.
  16. Going to try out cowitnessing. But mainly because I dont want to take irons off and put then on all the time. I dont really care for cowitnessing, esp for competition, but it wont hurt to try! P.s. sights
  17. I also use Glock ISMI springs in my P10F on a G17 Guiderod.
  18. 92 shooters in IDPA?!!! Whoaa that's a lot of old white guys. XD What made you take a 9 year break?
  19. I agree with you. I waited a year after I pre-paid, to get the serialized ODG full size frame. I see both sides; that USPSA wants people to buy "factory" pistols, but I do think they should amend to allow POLYMER-only frames (not weighted, etc.) into Prod/CO. I don't have skin in the game; I don't plan on using the P80 frame in USPSA. But I think they should amend it to allow all the firearm enthusiasts to shoot it; it would encourage more to come out and shoot.
  20. Great questions. Steel ammo isnt crap when you compare it to mass produced brass. Youll find you can get about 2 to 3 moa with m193 mass produced ammo and 3 to 4 with steel cased. Use case: Hoser matches, matches under 100yds. Any match w paper targets present. The point isnt steel vs brass. It is operational window/reliability. Steel introduces increased friction, this helps us test gear for brass and steel cased ammo. I mainly use brass, so you're preaching to the choir.
  21. Does it work w steelcased ammo ie have a larger window of operation?
  22. Thank you for your initial review! It looks like it's working, well, even with the fast rate of fire and fully loaded (a lot of us usually download one, so that's great info). Really looking forward to seeing how steel-cased affects it. Surefire mags do not work reliably with steel-cased, as a direct comparison.
  23. A+. Could you test steelcased ammo to see if the friction will make it fail?
