  1. That's a very sorry excuse for an apology for someone that manipulated match results for years. It appears the only thing he is sorry for is getting caught.
  2. This was a great match last year. I definitely plan to attend again this year. And thank you for including the cost of lunch in the registration fee. Fumbling for lunch money was kind of a PITA.
  3. Great match so far. Thank you to all the staff and RO's for allowing us to shoot this great match. Full Auto stage one was a lot of fun!
  4. I run 4.6 grains of WST with a 180 gr plated bullet. 4.5 grains with moly coated. I get a about 172 PF with a 5" STI. And the length I run is 1.170". You should be fine. Drop it a couple tenths and test some bullets first if you are worried. You shouldn't be anywhere near the danger zone at 4.4 grains though.
  5. That's not competition, that's survival. In competition, the difference between shooting a target in the eye socket or the chin is 2 points. Now increase the range to 15 yards and trigger pull can mean the difference between winning and losing the match. As you are smashing the trigger are you absolutely positive that any missed shot is not going to hit one of your children. Aim small, miss smaall. Point taken.
  6. Quick observation. If a perp, either breaking into my house or confronting me on the street, is worth shooting once with a 3# trigger pull, what is another 2 or 3 rds gonna do. Isn't this the point of production division, to be practical. If I'm going to smash a trigger when my life is in danger, I don't think it matters if the trigger is 2#, 3# or 7#.
  7. I agree with you not about not liking the rule, but my main objections are the SA/DA guns that only have to comply for the first shot and my second issue is how to enforce/test the 3# trigger rule. My trigger is above 3#'s, but I wouldn't be happy if the springs fatigue and/or normal wear causes it to go below 3#'s without a reliable way to test it. Also, of the AD's that voted for the new rule, the incoming president is the only production shooter. Yes, another has coffee classifiers on his record, but Phil Strader has been a long time Production shooter. He is also a GM production shooter. While I don't agree for the reasons listed above, I have much more respect for a person that made GM and competes in production using a completely stock gun.
  8. I'm 6 mo into USPSA competition and looking for guidance and advice. Hello to everyone.
