I Do Want Some Scrubs!
Bullzeye replied to IceDragon's topic in Miscellaneous Topics That Do Not Fit in Any Other Forum
Im a veterinary surgeon and wear scrubs alot. I prefer the Landau scrubs best. They last forever and are cut a little looser. My favorite set of scrubs is probably about 3 years old. The more you wash them the softer they get. Paul -
I have one in the 10x flavor. Its a great piece of glass for the money. No problems whatsoever. Allows me to shoot my varmint AR at 1/2 MOA groups with factory ammo. Thats good enough for me. Paul

I have a Model of 1989, 625-3 and it has never failed me. The trigger job is a little light but that is solved by using federal primers. Paul

+1 on the Hornady One Shot. Love that stuff. Paul -
TGI Friday's has a new appetizer called Fried Mac and Cheese Balls. They are pretty good with a cold beer. Paul

+1 on the Rusty Kidd viper. That was the lightest open gun I ever owned. A little too light for me that is why I sold it. Paul

Too bad it sucked, Im a big Tarantino fan but not big enough to sit through 3 hours of bad movie. Paul

Wow! Thanks for the tip on Gans Guns. All the work Ive sent out to gunsmiths usually takes at least double the time that was promised. That is what I come to accept. Its nice to know that you can still get quality work without an extended wait. Paul

All the factory STI's I have owned are fantastic handguns. Accurate, reliable, and well made. No complaints. As far as semi custom 1911's, I have had Les Baer, Ed Brown, Wilson, and Nighthawk. Out of the four mentioned, the Nighthawk 1911 is a step above the others. Everything is exceptional! Paul

Thanks Geezer for all the tips. I buy tons of stuff on the internet. It saves alot of time and usually is cheaper. Paul -
+1 on getting Benny Hill to build you an original 6" Fat Free. Still the best. Paul

I like their sound. The lead singer sounds like Blink 182. Paul

Wow, thats not very common for a mare to foal twins. Alot of times there is not room in their abdomen for twins so one of the developing foals must be aborted. Paul

+2 With Rusty Kidd. Ive had open and limited guns done by him and they run, run, run! With that being said, Benny Hill is building my next IDPA/IPSC 40sw pistol. Im sure it will be a beauty!

I have never seen them live in concert but have heard that their live shows are amazing. Would like to catch them this go around. Paul

Good Stuff. Dave O was the one who sold me my first IPSC blaster. Now he's a TV celebrity. Paul

I would go with Bar sto. I tried ordering a Schuemann about 3 weeks ago and it has not arrived yet. I dont think it will at this point.

I just cleaned my barrel with JB bore cleaner then followed it up with the JB bore shine after that. I thought the amt of black crud from the bore cleaner was alot until I used the bore shine. The bore shine cleaned out a ton more fouling out of the barrel. It seemed like I was getting tighter groups at the my next practice session at the range after I cleaned out all the junk. I guess that makes sense that I would.

I love my Para 18.9 limited. It was dead on accurate out of the box and is probably one of the most accurate 1911's I own. As far as reliability goes, I have never had a malfunction and that includes running it for 2000 rounds before cleaning it. I have not shot production but if I started it would be the gun I would use.

Hello, I just recieved an AR15 varmint rifle in a trade for a 1911. It has a Krieger 24" bull upper on a Badger Ordnance stabilizer handguard. I took it to my outdoor range the other day and I shot one 10 shot group that was about an inch. Really impressed with it since Im such a newbie at rifle shooting. Right now I have Leupold vari-x II 3-9 x 40mm with a duplex reticle mounted to a B square mount. I want to buy better glass for this rifle. At the 9x power the 100 yard target looked a little fuzzy. I think that is referred to as parallex? I plan on taking this rifle out to the 200 and 300 yard ranges for benchrest shooting and maybe enter a tactical shooting match one day. I was thinking of the Super sniper 10x power or the Bushnell Elite 4200 6-24x power scope for a variable option. At 100 yards I only use the 9x power but will a 10x fixed power scope be enough magnification at 200 or 300 yards? I ask b/c it seems like the 9x was perfect at 100 yards and make be lacking at greater distances. What is the best scope to fit my needs that is under $500? Thanks, Paul

I am the proud owner of a Rusty Kidd Limited gun that he custom built for me last year. The gun is 100% reliable, super accurate, super tight, and is beautifully crafted. I liked it so much that I bought a used Kidd open gun called the "Viper". That gun is even more incredible. Rusty just finished a top end for me that I can use on my backup limited gun. I should be getting it back this week some time. My only gripe is that he is a one man shop and he takes awhile to get you gun back to you but the final result is worth it.

Singlestack, I am not in GA but in the Republik of NJ. A friend told me about Rusty's work and I had him build me my limited gun. That quickly became my favorite shooter...so smooth, accurate , and 100% reliable. I saw a fellow in GA had an older Viper for sale so I had to break my piggy bank and buy it. It immediately became my favorite open gun. It is unlike any other open gun out ther by design. Mine has 6 ports in the barrel and so it has a tendency to quickly cloud up and foul the c more. Place a Kidd blast shield on there and there is no more of that problem. I dont know how long it will last but its worth the money. Paul

If its a Rusty Kidd Viper that you have Singlestack then the blast shield will help out alot.
