Les Baer is probably my favorite shooter of the semi custom 1911's and I have had them all. Sold all my Nighthawks and Wilsons and only have one Ed Brown which I have not fired yet. As far as looks, I think LB guns are built for using and not for eye candy. They are good looking guns but I feel that the other semi custom houses have them beat on aesthetics.

What do you have now? Have you reloaded ammo before? how much do you shoot? I ask these questions b/c if you arent going to need all this equipment then it will be a waste of space and money.

I bought myself a Terry Cross KMW 6.5x47 tactical rifle. Cant wait to take it for a spin.

Here is a picture of my Fantom Omen in 40SW by Fred Craig and a regular size Fantom in 45acp. The picture below it is a regular govt size 1911 compared to the Fantom Omen. The compact 1911's are built on Caspian double stack frames and slides. the 45acp holds 8 rounds and the 40sw 9 rounds.

I can't remember the persons name but I think it was Pinnacle guns in PA, but they are no longer sold. I was told the mold was worn out and it wasn't worth the cost of re-tooling. Adam Yes, it was Mark Hartshorne at Pinnacle who made them. They were great grips. Too bad they are not available anymore.

I have used the Art of Shaving products for the last 3 years and have gotten exceptional results. They sell a kit that costs $100 that includes a brush, pre-shave oil, shaving soap, and after shave lotion. You supply the razor. I go with the Gillete Mach 4 with 4 blades. I shave in the shower with a fogless mirror I got from Amazon for $15. Its made by the Ace company (they are famous for plastic combs) and it works wonderfully well. The steam helps loosen up the beard and clean up is a no-brainer in the shower. You can buy the art of shaving stuff from Amazon too or Drugstore.com.

I had two Xd's worked on by Canyon Creek. My 9mm had a match Storm Lake barrel fit and it did NOT do much to increase the accuracy of the pistol. Still shooting 3" groups at 15 yards. My 45acp XD had the factory barrel accurized by CC and that handgun shoots sub 1" groups at 15 yards. A real tack driver. My advice would be to talk to Rich at CC or contact Springer Precision and ask them what they recommend.

I know that GA Precision makes one heck of a world class tactical rifle. I dont hunt but wouldn't that type of rifle be too heavy to be lugging around outdoors all day? I'm just thinking it would not be very practical.

Dropping a 25# iron barbell plate on my foot from about four feet high at the gym. I wasnt paying attention and I grabbed the 45# plate that was in back of it on the plate rack. Never saw the 25# plate in front of it! Slammed right onto my foot. Went to the hospital that night b/c my foot was swollen. Luckily, no broken bones just alot of bruising.

Here is my Colt Delta Elite that had work done by Gary Natale from Gans Guns. He installed a Bar Sto 40SW barrel, Brown grip safety and thumb safety, new front sight, and 10-8 rear sight. I am very pleased with the results. Turnaround time was lightning fast. I just installed the kit on my SV factory gun and I like it better then what was in there. Really good stuff!

There is an STI Trojan listed in the USPSA classified ads today for $1100. check it out.

Also look daily on GunsAmerica and check on Gun Broker. I have gotten good deals on both sites but you have to check them frequently.

Yes, you can buy a comp for the Marvel and they have an option for an interchangeable rib that you can attach a scope or other optics. The comp weighs a couple ounces and basically adds weight to the front end and looks Evil.

My sister saw it and said it was hilarious. She went with her husband who didnt find it funny. It turns out that her husband acts like one of the characters in the movie: kind of straight laced, doesn't follow sports, doesn't do alot of guy stuff. I want to see it but will roll the dice next time at the movies. Land of the Lost and the Hangover just came out today.
