  1. Please add me for Limited and Open Joe - A69527 thanks guys!
  2. Welcome to the board! I shoot at TASC regularly as well as richmond. say hello next time you're there
  3. my grip is high like that EVERY time i pull the gun out of the holster. Slide bite is a real pain in the ass, so is changing band aids between runs... which is what made me switch to a 1911, oh that and better build quality....
  4. WELCOME! Come check out some of the clubs in the bay area: Richmond Hot shots and TASC http://www.richmondhotshots.com/ http://tasc-ipsc.com/
  5. Welcome! do you ever go to TASC or Richmond??
  6. i have three mags all with snl pads and the grams follower/spring kits, untuned. ALL of them reliably hold 21 and will speed load on 20. just buy them and enjoy!
  7. I also throw mine in the tumbler with the polishing media. It's an easy way to give the insides of the tubes a good shine for reliable feeding.
  8. building/fitting a 9mm top end wouldn't be worth it. so just develop at low power factor .40 load, somewhere around 135PF I personally shoot lead out of my Edge but there are plenty who run jacketed/plated bullets out of their SVI/STI's. Either one works fine but both will need you to play around with OAL to figure out what feeds best for YOUR gun. buy from Dave Dawson @ Dawson Precision. www.dawsonprecision.com
  9. just made B, time to join the race to A add me please USPSA# A69527
  10. Just squeaked into "B" 61.03% I Guess I need to subscribe to the "race to A class" thread now..
  11. Welcome! what part of CA are you from?
  12. On three of my mags I run: Untuned STI 140mm mag bodies Grams Follower/Spring 11 coil kit Dawson +1 SNL Each one can hold 21+1 and are reloadable with 20 rounds
  13. In all my mags, the Grams followers would lock the slide back with one or two rounds left in the mag. So I filed away at the part of the follower that catches the slide lock. You should really be counting your shots on stages and know that if you take any extra shots then you will either have to reload earlier or reload and rack the slide. For example, I give myself 2 rounds for every steel that way IF I miss steel I still have enough rounds to get me through until my planned reload. If you miss steel twice then you will def need to reload sooner. Hope that helps..
  14. I have three mags all with the same setup: STI 140mm *Un-tuned* Mag bodies Grams 11coil spring/follower kit (modified to prevent slide lock) Dawson +1 SNL basepads ALL of them will hold 21 and reload on 20 and ALL of them fit the EGW gauge. Hope that helps
  15. Hi Johnny, I was at the NROI class this weekend too. Are you the guy with the Limcat open gun? If so, I sat to your left! Welcome to the forums!
  16. pretty sure I made it to B today... shot a 66.4974% on Six Chickens (CM03-02)
  17. Not to mention Diablo, Yolo and Sac Valley, all of which have full calendars. Five shooting clubs within an hour (ok, 90 minutes for Sac Valley)... not bad for a state that is less gun-privileged. forgot to mention those we certainly seem to be privileged with the amount of shooting clubs in the bay area!
  18. Welcome to the forum! "Banifornia" might not seem like the most priveledged state, but in the Bay Area we are fortunate to have some sort of action pistol match going on almost EVERY weekend. 1st/3rd Sat/Sun = Practice(Sat) and Match(Sun) at Richmond Rod & Gun club aka Richmond Hotshots ( richmondhotshots.com ) 2nd/4th Saturday = Match at Chabot Rod & Gun club with TASC (Tuesday Action Shoot Club, tasc-ipsc.com) Please come out and enjoy our sport with us!
  19. Welcome! I am supposed to help teach the intro to IPSC/holster safety qualification course there this weekend but might not be able to make it (school obligation). I will most likely show up the 2nd half of the day. Feel free to ask anyone there about any questions you might have regarding the course of fire or general USPSA rules. We will be more than happy to help. Our main concern is that you complete the day SAFELY! welcome aboard and see you out there! Joe Salinas
  20. In what way specifically could it be fixed?
