  1. Do you shoot a Glock? Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  2. I picked up a used S&W 627 and was going to try out the big butt grip, but I can't seem to locate the retaining screw. Does anyone happen to know the size and thread pitch for the stirrup on the right? The grommet pressed into the wood grip prevents me from just using the hardware from the rubber one. I looked through Hogue's site and they say that they sell the screw for a few bucks, but it's Friday evening and I dont' want to wait until next week. Thanks!
  3. I don't have direct experience with it, only through friends after I asked around about it, so take it with a grain of salt. I was mostly pointing out that if you are looking for high reliability the low end units are good enough to get the job done faster than by hand, but requires a lot of babysitting. A single. 40 case stuck in a .45 usually bends the pin on the rollsizer, requiring a little bit of time to clear. I wound up with the upgraded Dillon and I'm not impressed. The mold inside the hopper constantly jams the plate when running 40 brass when the cases ride up to the top upside down. Works great for reloading at slow speeds on the 650, but high volume needs more engineering work. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  4. I'd like to update my recommendation. If you are doing any sort of volume of unknown brass or want a Ronco experience, then either the Dillon or feedinator are not the answer. If you set your expectations low in the beginning, everything will work out okay. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  5. After having negative experiences with both rollsizer and immortobot, (and ultimate sorter) I'm about to return the Dillon casefeeder and get the feedinator. My case feeder upgrade kit has not materialized in over two weeks. Emails go unanswered, and if I got someone on the phone I'm mad enough that I wouldn't be doing myself any favors. I find it highly coincidental that I have customer service issues with three separate companies in this industry. tl;dr +1 for the feedinator.
  6. Thank you, James. I've mailed off my icore application and have checked out a few places nearby. I also picked up a revolver or two, so I am well on my way. Thanks again for the info. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  7. When you guys are referencing Federal primers, are you talking about #100, #200 or 100GM? or all of the above?
  8. I've was on the forums years ago, but mostly lurked and bought goodies from the classifieds. Finally in a spot where I can run and gun on a regular basis, so I'm gearing back up for some fun. Things have evolved quite a bit since 2012 around here, so I'm trying to read and catch up on the big stuff. I have orders in at PV and Blue, so I'll get to break in the dillon next week sometime. I shot uspsa, steel challenge and idpa. I have an interest in shooting revo, so if any of you guys are close I'd like to try one out. Thanks, Corey
  9. I run 1.2. 180gn. No problems after about 3k rounds
  10. Ok. Just tried with akro bins. 40s&w. I can put two full Dillon blue bins (bullet catcher) in there with no issues. I dumped a third bin in and it was too much. Before I deal with the motor next time I'd pull the plate and check to make sure that the screw heads aren't rubbing on the plate. Mine were protruding quite a bit and caused problems. I removed the bottom two screws and just left them out. I couldn't get them to screw in to the motor housing and still clear the plate.
  11. Me too. I bought the parts from HD but haven't prepped a case yet, so still dumping them all over the place.
  12. +1 TWHaz You can simply drop the bullet just before it 'snaps' into the next position. Now if I can just get some rhythm..
  13. 98, yes. Motor was free. And it appears that there were two problems affecting the case feeder. #1. The motor was a bit weak. The replacement was much stronger. #2. The mounting screws that hold the motor to the bottom of the feeder were a little out of whack. They stuck up above the plastic and caused some drag on the plate. Not enough to mark up the plate, but enough to stop it. I opened up the countersink areas with a drill bit and that let the heads sit flush. I asked Dillon if they want me to ship the old motor back. If they don't want it, I was planning on checking it out to see what the actual issue is with the motor. Might see if Foxbat's issue is the same as mine.
  14. Carbide dies. I clean with stainless steel media so brass will sometimes stick on the powder funnel because of no lube. One shot works wonders. Just hit about 1/2 the brass with the aerosol and they keep everything lubed up just fine.
  15. Thank you for the tip Foxbat. I emailed Dillon and they are sending a new motor. I'll post here if that isn't the issue and I may explore your gear box scenario. Craig, I would take you up on your offer if you weren't so far away. Thanks.
  16. You're invited to shoot at Fort Smith. 3-gun July 31st, IPSC Aug 21st. Both at 10am. PM me if you're interested and I'll send you more info.
  17. Is it just my ignorance on how to properly setup the case feeder or do I have a weak motor on mine? If I have more than 20-30 cases in the hopper it will cause the plate to stick. I've adjusted the 'clutch' on the plate, but it will either just spin or stop-depending on how tight the screws are. I've gotten accustomed to spinning the plate around with my bullet feeder (left hand). If I set it to low..forget about it. It does good just to spin the empty plate. Large pistol plate, feeding 45 brass.
  18. They should make an attachment that would sort your brass as you sucked them up.. Then you could justify it!
  19. There is quite a bit of EAA info on here as well as Hennings. I have a limited on the way so Im learning up on them myself. Welcome!
  20. I saw some stuff on Boomer Shooter. Welcome from Fort Smith! Hope to meet you soon. Corey
  21. Welcome from Fort Smith, AR. Im in T-town all the time. Ill pm you next time I come to a match up there. Oh, stay away from the classifieds here.. Unless you want to be tempted! I've been buying like crazy. Lol
  22. Yes, nice! Might be doing this soon myself, so its nice to have pics and steps where i can follow. I know it takes twice as long when you're stopping to take pictures, so thanks for that.
