  1. Because the trigger springs press back on the safeties, the front of the safety must be smooth for them to move easily. I had a 45/90 in my gun when I put the trigger in it would not stay on safe it would move halfway off safe. I switched to a strike 60 degree and it works well.
  2. The JP upper is very reliable. I have been running one for rimfire matches and 3 gun practice.
  3. If you do the swingers with slugs have a few extra targets ready because they will take a few hits from birdshot and it will tear them up eventually.
  4. They did we shot them at Nationals. You can buy them from Atlanta Arms (https://atlantaarms.com/products/official-3-gun-nation-targets.html)
  5. I normally run a CED 7000 and if they are set on a medium setting it will pick up even 300 blackout subsonic. One of out local match shooter liked to shoot his and would bring his own timer because the clubs timers would not pick up the shots.
  6. I have forgotten to turn my dot on my open pistol. With 3 gun it happens to a lot of shooters on empty gun starts. People won't take the sight picture so they never think about it.
  7. At the 2016 3GN Nationals our squad got to the all shotgun a little early and saw shooters picking up shells out of the grass because they had run out shells. Luckily people had dropped a lot of shells while trying to load running through the stage . It was a 44 round shotgun stage with a death star and slug poppers. We had guys strapping on two vests plus all of the caddies on their belts so they could make it through the stage.
  8. The Magpul mags are as good as the factory. But if you wanted OEM you can normally pick up as many as you need if you hit a Glock match for $10 each from the armor. They are not new but they work.
  9. We have ended up with issues from dummy rounds that get all chewed up and they will even start sticking in the tube or when they are trying to feed. My wife gun was having issues and we figured out it was only during practice because a few of the shell heads had started to get burrs.
  10. You may also be able to find another brand of shell to put in the match saver. Some of the smooth hulls can be very slick. I run a match saver on a pump for Heavy and have never had an issue but I did tilt the match saver so the recoil was not perfectly in line with the direction of the shell.
  11. My wife runs a 2015 Versamax for 3 gun and it is very reliable. She uses multiple types of slugs and shot loads as light as 7/8oz. at 1200fps up to prairie storm. We do a full overhaul or all the springs and check the internals for burrs every 5000 rounds.
  12. Tooth and Nail does great work on the 1919s. You have to watch the mags though, if it is a warm day I keep my shells and loaded mags in a cooler with a few Ice packs. Keeps the shells from getting hot and getting out of round and causing any feeding issues.
  13. You should ask http://dissidentarms.com/index.php/product/saiga-12-da-conversion-package/ If they don't know try R&R they also build custom Saigas.
  14. 2018 3GN Ohio State Championship Match May 5-6, 2018 8 Stage Match Prize table + cash payout $150 Covington, OH https://www.dawgvalleygunclub.com/

  16. CMMG firing pin broke after about 2000 rounds with a Hyper Fire 24C. The tip just broke off. I replaced it with a JP. I only have about 500 rounds on the new one.
  17. For 9 minor you can't beat the Sti steelmaster comp.
  18. If the trigger is going too far into the frame it might be getting stuck in the frame. Had this problem when I swapped triggers recently. I cleaned the back part of the frame where the trigger rides and polished both of the back corners of the outside of the trigger bow.
  19. I have been ROing 3 gun for a little while and we have an issue with people not attaching their belt to an inner belt. Their is a lot of movement and the pistol is normally shot last. I have had two full belt rigs with shotgun shells, pistol mags, rifle mags and pistol go rolling down the range when the shooter is running with a long gun. I had one shooter argue that the pistol did not leave the holster so it can't be a DQ.
  20. You see forgot to turn the dot on a lot in multi gun with empty pistol start but all the long guns are loaded. Their is so mush going on and because none of the practical shooters touch their pistol the RO never even says anything about the pistol. I've been the RO on stages when the shooter is told to make ready and they make the long guns ready but don't do anything with the pistol. I feel bad when they draw and the dot is not on but it only takes a second or two extra.
  21. I loaded 3.2 grains of Long shot and was getting 845fps out of a 14.5" PCC. They were quiet for long shot and sub sonic. They were accurate but had too much drop for a good multi-gun load.
  22. I am running an 11lb with the tungsten guide rod and am having no problem with ejection. Also check the extractor I broke one after only 500 rounds on a new 26. It just had a week spot and the end of the extractor chipped off at a GSSF shoot.
  23. I've been running a steel master for steel challenge and 3-gun and the occasional USPSA match for the past two years. The gun is great but I have recently upgraded to a full size DVC it runs minor and major with no spring change. I have run 115 grain and 124 grain factory and 124 major with no malfunctions to date. All of the mags were already tuned from running in the steel master. It will depend on how much those extra Major points are going to matter to you.
