  1. Thanks. Its a bit of a long shot, but if I can make the trip I look forward to shooting there.
  2. Well, actually there is a slight chance that could happen. I have a brother about 4 hours southeast of you. I haven't seen him in a long time. Got room for a travel trailer on (or near) the range?
  3. I agree. It sure seems like no one wants to have to perform a reload anymore. And that is a shame.
  4. I can't help but agree. Do you think the USPSA BoD even has a clue? (They certainly don't seem to.)
  5. I thought that pic might have been taken at Ft Larned! It is a very interesting historical site to visit. Oh, and the Ft Larned Arms Ass'n of Larned KS hosts USPSA matches too. A great bunch of guys there!
  6. So, perhaps you and I are the only ones to use - and have an issue with - the new Win small pistol primers. Federal has always been my favorite, but were hard to find for a long time. Thankfully, it seems like they are becoming more available. I'll not buy any more of the new (red/black/white box) Win primers.
  7. Have any of you had issues with the new (red/black/white box) Winchester primers? Winchester primers have always worked just fine in my 627. But I'm getting about 1% to 2% failures to fire with the new primers. Strain screw is tight/no change. A friend (ICORE M class shooter) has also experienced the same.
  8. Way cool. I've often lamented the fact that Safariland doesn't make the Comp III for the .44. I have a Lew Horton M24-3 that is a superb shooter but I don't get along with the Comp II speedloaders worth a damn. I hear someone is making SL Variant speedloaders again but I've kinda lost interest. So I think I'll sell the M24 and stick with my M627 and M625.
  9. I agree with everything you guys said. Doc told me that some people just sail through chemo. Well, I didn't sail! It was rough. Hang in there and let us know how you're doing.
  10. The Board has always had the authority to NOT seat a DULY elected candidate??? Somehow that doesn't seem right.
  11. I agree. I don't understand it. The words "political" and "personal" are used frequently. But "politics" is everywhere and not necessarily a bad thing; necessary, in fact.
  12. Good points, all. And the USPSA Board must be made aware. Oh, and I agree that Troy should be ousted or at least severely disciplined. To ignore it just means a steeper decline than USPSA is already experiencing.
  13. Recall the McDonald's "hot coffee" case ...
  14. Its been a while since I checked in here, Squirrel. Glad to hear you're coming along. My situation was very similar to what others have described here. I went from about 200 lbs down to 155 lbs during my six weeks of radiation and chemo. But back to 195 now. Again, am so happy you're doing well - considering the circumstances. Hang in there and keep us updated.
  15. Thanks. I don't know "the other side of the story" but I would think that should be sufficient income.
  16. It's been said there are over 35,000 members in USPSA. 35,000 X $40 = $1,400,000. It would appear that one could do okay on a budget exceeding $1 million.
  17. Not that it matters much, but the USPSA website shows annual dues to be $40 per year. $40 X 62.5% = $25. Then, $40 + $25 = $65. Yeah, I initially figured it based on $35 per year which figured to be an 85.71% increase. And yes, I'm still a "no". I tend to agree with the many others that simply don't see "value" nor a need for such an increase.
  18. I certainly agree. I like to see my classification. And I like the magazine (although not as much as I used to). But is it worth $65 per year? NO! We all realize expenses are up. But worthy of an 62.5% increase in dues? NO! Maybe a 5% or 10% increase? Maybe.
  19. deleted.

This would be better served as a PM rather than posted as a status update.

      Ooops.   Sorry.

  20. I've been using James Austin's Moon Clip Server for about 10 years. Love it. The Moon Clip Server - A Speed Steel Shooters Revolver Moonclip Dispenser - Shooting Equipment And James Austin is a great guy and a great shooter.
