So lately at matches when I am actually taking my time and concentrating on the sights and trigger squeeze I have been pulling shots all over. Yet when I just let myself run loose and shoot at about max speed, not really thinking about every little thing, I am dead on and shooting up among the guys at the top. I am a B shooter and when I am on, I am shooting up with the master class guys. Does anyone have any ideas what could be going on upstairs to cause this?

What's the point in having a rule book in the first place if the match director doesn't want to follow every rule in it?

I keep showing this to my wife hoping to get her to like it enough she will actually come shoot with me. What was the turn around time to get the slide painted?

How close is it? Mine breaks at about 1/8th of an inch from the stop and works every time. It may just be unnatural for you until you get use to it.

So if it was a "factory" part would it then make it a legal swap for SSP in IDPA? Shawn

SJC is suppose to be coming out with a frame mounted 90 degree mount. It is on their website fro pre-order.

One of the guys I shoot with that has been shooting the M&P for a while helped me with this problem. The problem is actually the rounds drop just enough when you seat the mag that it allows the slide to pass right over it. His suggestion was to use 10 round mags. After the switch I have never had a problem.

At least this one isn't as obvious as the 2011 indoor nationals where he magically had to shoot 3 right before a reload at least two times.

Thats what I was thinking. You could tell it was there but it's not like it would be slide lightening since there will be steel replacing it. Well, and since it is a backup for a M&P it would probably never have to be used.

So, I am planning on building a USPSA open gun out of my backup M&P9. I was wondering if I had an extra sight dovetail milled into the slide ahead of the stock rear sight, for a slide racker, and had a piece of steel inserted back into it when it was not being used if I could still use it for IDPA? I know this is a pretty off the wall question. Thanks Shawn

The straps from my M&P9 fit my 45 and vice versa so I would say yes. Just remember that a small on a 45 is equivalent to a medium on a smaller one. Shawn

I was shooting my GP6 today and the firing pin actually came out the back of the slide when I was shooting. I took it apart and it seems to pop out every time the firing pin safety is pushed. Any ideas what could cause this? Thanks

I shot it Saturday and shot it SSP SS in 50.72 with 13 points down.

Let's say that you win your class at a sanctioned match and the time you got would of put you in second in the class above you. There are enough shooters in each class so that 1st and 2nd should get bumped. Would you get bumped up one or two classes?
