Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. +3 on the SJC, one lightweight on my Open and 2 heavy on my limited guns. I have larger hands and the magwell seats my hand on the gun perfectly.
  2. I have been saving up to get started in reloading for a few months, seemed like something kept popping up that I had to take care of and was unable to get my reloader for a while. Finally ordered my RL550B from BE, ordered on a Friday and had it on the next Wednesday, before I could even get my bench completed. I had to buy things in separate 'bundles' in order to make it all work, but Brian's store was so user friendly that even this newb was able to figure out everything I needed. 1 week later I ordered some spare parts, the strong mount and another caliber set-up. I cannot wait to get off work in a couple hours and spend the day setting up my 550! Thanks BE for a great service you provide!
  3. I was shut down over the weekend too, seems you report one incident of fraud and they won't pay anything over 50 bucks...can't even fill the gas tank up with that
  4. Okay, so the only real option is the LWD conversion barrel, if I want .40. And the optic mount on the 34 is permanent, thus making switching that gun from open to limited, unreasonable.
  5. Okay, I have done some searching and couldn't find what I wanted. I have an open G34 based gun, and I want to get into limited, in order to have more of the same after switching between guns I was thinking of doing the 24 length (6" barrel) gun, due to the length of the 34 and comp this length will closely resemble that of my open gun. Balance should be about the same and I get the added bonus of that extra sight radius. Now the catch is, like nearly everyone else, money...I have a g20 (Large frame, 10mm) is there any issue in going with the g24 length slide and barrel, I was looking at LWD, but would prefer another source, even oem glock slide and maybe KKM barrel. Or should I go with the 6" 10mm slide and barrel for any safety concern? Either way I will have to reload in order to afford to shoot it, any thoughts? thanks
  6. Looks like an SJC mount? Who installed that piece? I know that on mine, SJC had to work on their mount removing some material. Also the extractor is a good idea to look at...hope you get it figured out, I completely understand the pain of ejection issues.

Like others have said, the mag springs take a little breaking in sometimes, (from my personal experience) also when full loaded the mag will cause a pretty heavy pressure on the mag release button and make it very difficult to engage.
  8. SJC did all the work, I must say it does look very good! It was a caspian slide that needed to be reduced by a few more ounces, so they shaved it down, I wasn't expecting it to look so good
  9. As for load data, do you reload now? if not, can you get your hands on any +p or +p+ ammo? out of your regular glock barrel, +p might be able to make Major, +p+ should for sure. This is probably not a good idea to shoot this ammo in your gun a lot, so reloading is probably the way to go. On the other hand, this +p will give you an idea of what you will have to reload. btw, nice build-I put together a glock open gun with the help of SJC, yeah it has a c-more, but I shoot minor (makes the challenge even better, shoot all alpha's and it doesn't matter).
  10. not all of us "youngins" take bottom feeders out all the time!! Granny-Do you need any help reloading your 44? or scouring for brass?
  11. Welcome aboard from a relatively new wheelgunner! Don't I know you from somewhere jhshooter? ............. GSWEAR, I think we may have met...haha Happy 4th Greg
  12. It happened the first couple rounds in on each magazine, then every 4th or 5th round till I decided to end the futility Well my simple idea is shot, I know on my mags I can't load them to capacity or I have terrible problems, but after relieving some pressure from the spring it usually works out. In that case it does not sound magazine related IMO
  13. You are totally nuts!!! Welcome Thank You! is it because I shoot revo, or wanna shoot open revo? lol
  14. I was kind of wondering why someone would spend close to $500 for a barrel on a revolver? The only thing I was thinking is those 50 yarders with a 4 inch barrel..but thanks for the advice, maybe in my later years if I have money to throw away I can look at maybe my revo look cool with a fancy barrel Thanks and I guess you know to finally expect a gun from me sometime in the near future (as soon as I get the cylinder off and back from the moon clip conversion) Jordan
  15. DId it happen when the mags were full? or all the time with them?
