  1. I bought a Sig 1911 45 ACP back in 2014 when they had a promotion to buy their 1911 and get a 2nd 22 caliber 1911 free.

    Both worked well.  I just remember that the Sig Nitron 1911 didn't fit any of my 1911 holsters so I had to spend $70 for a new Comp-Tac holster.  I think I sold them a couple of years later when I bought a 9mm 1911.

    PB Graphite Dry Lube spray from Home depot has worked well so far, starting with a completely clean comp.  A couple matches and a few range trips, no buildup.

    Can you post a picture?  I've read that the Graphite Dry Lubes leave a black residue.

    What's that bit?  It looks like it's made of brass.

    That's a bad lever, not a redi catch. I'm surprised that fits though. The clearance on the bolt release is very tight.

    It's help in place by a little E-Clip. It should just pop off with a bit of a tug.

    Correct ... I installed the Bad Lever because the Redi-Catch won't work with a dedicated PCC mag catch.

    Some Colt pattern PCCs will allow a Redi-Catch to be used.  I used one for many years on my Colt style PCC.

    I run the Redi-Catch on all of my centerfire ARs.

    Anyone have Sport Pistol load data, including OAL for the Shadow 2 (4.9" barrel) and 135 gr coated FP?  Looking to get 130~ PF.

    Not a Shadow but here are some numbers using Sport Pistol with a Glock 17 and SNS coated 135g.

    OAL 1.13 - 1.14

    3.2g

    Average PF = 125

    High PF = 130

    Low PF = 121

    SD = 22

    3.5g

    Average PF = 135

    High PF = 137

    Low PF = 133

    SD = 10

    3.8g

    Average PF = 142

    High PF = 143

    Low PF = 140

    SD = 8

  6. So this happened 2 days before a level 2 match.  Dillon did their usual excellent job of quickly shipping a new replacement part, but it sucks that it happened.  Looks like a MIM part.

    Also, I had to use a sledgehammer to pound out the remaining stub from the bottom after soaking with Kroil overnight.

    Maybe I'll use some anti-seize on the replacement.

    Are broken Dillon operating handles a common occurrence?

    Depends what day it is and who you talk to. I have purchased 8 shot cylinders and stars after I purchased I told 2 of my friends and they called and purchased. Later on someone else asked and I told them to call and they were told that cylinders and stars were not sold to the public. Go figure 😁

    ^^^  This.  S&W sold one to me along with the 8 shot cylinder and all other cylinder parts.  I do not have a FFL.

    That pic reminds me that mine is overdue for a cleaning.  How long did it take with the Dremel engraver?

    I'm leaning towards the pistol, this is the second optic? I checked all the mounting, plate, and sight, all torqued and lock tite. Tampa-XD45, what other sites could I go to to read more on this. I looked at the DSC Gunworks site, no mention as to the reasons or benefits to welding up the chamber indicator. Have other pistols, not 1911, that have the similar notch in the barrel, and no issues.

    Here's one site to review:  https://www.thearmorylife.com/forum/threads/prodigy-5in-w-hex-dragonfly.14389/

  10. I used JB Weld as the adhesive, and 60/90 grit silicon carbide in the smallest amount I could purchase on Ebay or Amazon.

    Wearing latex gloves, I also gently pushed the grit into the adhesive to make sure there were no high spots.

    Don't worry about a perfect application ... there's always tiny amounts you scrape or sand away after drying.
