  4. I was going to say something ugly to a guy who didn't think we should have had a week to register but then I looked at where he was from.
  5. Let me know how that "taking your club independent", goes for you....... I can pretty much tell you now that its not going to fly buddy.
  6. Well Chris, Danny and Steve do wear kilts at the match. After what I told Steve and Danny, I don't think Danny will ever wear a kilt again......
  7. Someone call Mississippi Highway Patrol and tell them there is a bunch of Louisiana boys speeding on Interstate 55
  8. Let me answer your question with a question. I live in Louisiana. I am a paid member of 3 clubs that are a part of the Louisiana section. I volunteer as a member of the Board of Directors on one of those clubs. I pay section dues, I come early to set up and tear down matches held in the section, I RO local matches. I participate in range work days, building walls and general maintenance. How fair is it to me that I get left out of my section match in order for someone from Wheeling, WVA to come down and shoot it just because that person was a little faster with the online registration? To kinda expand a little on what Keith said earlier, registration was opened a week early for Louisiana residents. Louisiana residents are given a week head start or until 100 slots are taken. Then registration opens up for everyone. Take into consideration that many Louisiana shooters will also work the match as ROs and these people will not count towards the 200 plus competitor slots, there are not enough members of the Louisiana section to fill this match up. It's not mathimatically possibly. Non section members will have an opportunity to get in. And before anyone says anything about whether or not I would feel the same way if I wasn't a member of the Louisiana section I found myself on the outside looking in this year for the Mississippi Classic. I mailed my entry Monday morning from Baton Rouge and did not get in. I was disappointed I missed a great match but understood that locals should come first. You didn't get in to the Mississippi Classic because of the US Postal Service. We mailed ours the same day but our drop off went straight when yours had to go from Springfield to Baton Rouge to Jackson. You got screwed by the government. So you didn't care about stealing a MS shooters spot at MS Classic? Brian The match did not have registration this way. If they would have then we would have waited and only hoped to get in.

  10. Ok how is it fair for over 100 section members who pays their dues to not be able to shoot in their section because some guy from WV got in who has never shot down here. Its not fair at all. This has been done at several other matches over the country and will most likely start a new trend. Look at it this way, what about the super shooters who put their time in for IPSC matches so they can get qualified to shoot the IPSC Nationals. What if for all the hard work they put in, they could not get in because a random shooter signed up who doesn't now what IPSC even means. All in all it is what it is and that is how it will be. Unless you are planning on shooting the Gator, leave it alone.
  11. I so badly want to chime in on the peeps who have no idea what it takes to put on this match.. I had one guy say we should do it like Florida Open and run 350 to 450 shooters and it would work because of a matrix. I do sit on the BOD and I was the one who proposed the idea for the two sign up periods. So if you want to hate, then hate me. This is the best option for our shooters. I worked out the number several different way and I will not explain it to you. The system will work. There are about 75 hard working people who work the match. Some work all week and most just work the weekend. Every If you don't like it then go find another match RO shoots the match in two day format. So when all of the great shooters show up on Friday afternoon or Saturday we are ready to give you the best match possible. We have great sponsors who come out and shoot with us on the pre match days. This match will fill up whether you sign up or not. Until you take a week off of work, show up the Monday before the match and spend 10 hours a day building stages then sit back, shut up and just say thank you and move on. Thank you and have a great day and I hope to see you on my stage.
  12. You would have to pay the yearly membership of $25.00. The winner will have about a 1 in 25 chance
  13. No J is not shooting but M is shooting sat sun. I am signed up as a RO and I am not part of the list
  14. Also as far as safeguards and the potential for one person registering multipliable people at the same time, tell me how you would be able to register only one person from an IP address. I have three shooters in the house. So only one of us will be able to shoot in our household? On the other hand, do I need to go and knock on two of my neighbors’ door to borrow their WiFi? This is no different from one person mailing in three apps.
  15. I normally do not like to chime in on post where people are being retarded in their thought process but, Yeah I am tired of the people who think they are “owed” a spot, or bitch about the time of the registration opening. Last year we had roughly 210 shooter on Saturday / Sunday. We shot from sun up to sun down. It is impossible to put any more shooter in squads and make it in the period we had. I run a stage every year. My week starts on the Tuesday before the match and does not stop until the Sunday night when I get back home. I spoke to both the MD and Steph on Sunday and neither one mentioned anything to my about the opening of the match the following morning. Therefore, this is enough about the winning and bitching about the match or registration format. All I can tell you is, suck it up and wait for next year.
  16. It was a great match and after all of the death threats about my stage #10, people came up and said it was awesome.
