  1. I have some bayou bullets that I need to try out in my open gun. I may just use them for 3 gun so I don't have to load them to major PF. They run great in ally other pistols
  2. I would love to be able to do this some time. Do most of you do this for work or is it just another hobby.
  3. I have the arredondo one and really like it. I don't have a preference on make as long as I have one
  4. Engine assembly lube and synthetic motor oil
  5. My 9 major with 2 poppel holes I run 7.5 grains of Autocomp with a 124 gn bullet for 175 pf
  6. I shoot 9mm major and like that if I don't want to pick up brass I don't have to. But on cooler days I will get out and pick up as much brass as I want as most people let it lie.
  7. Wow wish my wife liked to shoot never mind compete
  8. Congrats on a great looking pistol no matter who are it.
  9. I had the same problem when I switched from my xdm open gun to a 2011 platform. It just took some time to adjust to the different platform. Either way go out and and have fun
  10. Stick with 9 major and don't be a range chicken
  11. Well the mp can be chambered in 40 and that is making major power factor and they run for a long time. You will be fine running major with a 9 with a comp and with the correct spring. I have a xdm 9 open gun that I have been running major and minor through. IMHO
  12. There are some company's that sell reman 9mm major loads out there or you could just shoot open minor
  13. Go with http://store.legionfirearms.com/mobile/Product.aspx?ProductCode=LFP they run great
  14. You could try some autocomp and that would take care of the spilling powder problem. With 115 I would start around 7 gr and work up from there.
  15. Why not switch to some 115s and run them. When running them at major PF they will have more gas than the 124s and work your comp more effectively. Just a suggestion though.
  16. A-84365 open I just got my C classification for open and would like to be added to the list. Aaron
  17. 124 plated 4.2 gr of hp38 which is the same as 231 1.150 oal
  18. I started out with a xdm 9 with a carver customs kit for open and it was great. The gun ran great and had no problems. It is a great way to get into open to see if you like it. If not you can sell the parts. Or go for the TruBor. Either way just go have fun and compete.
  19. Open for me. I just want to go fast but am really slow lol
  20. I run an open XDM and I load 9 major to 1.165 and have loaded out to 1.170. It runs fine out of a storm lake barrel
  21. I would swap the barrel like hrdstmax said. The V Tac has the troy fore end on it so save your money for a better trigger and ammo
  22. I like the berry thick plated bullets in my open XDM. When load testing I pushed a 124 thick plated at just over 1450 fps with no issues and use the 115 for minor. Have not had any problems with the plating coming off.
  23. Torco engine assembly lube and some 10-30 mixed in to thin it a little or use it straight for my Saiga 12
