Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. This does not make me feel good, my connection to Tulsa is Ohare. I'm not quite sure what I want to do it's only a 30 hour drive.
  2. KK- No apoligies needed I loved wathching Couture fight and I think it sucks that he's all done. I'm also really suprised with Gracie coming back to fight Hughes. I think it's a slap in the face to St. Pierre. I had assumed when they announced the fight that it was a super fight type deal like they did in the past. I suppose Gracie could cut down to 170 but if he were to actually win then who fights who. Maybe Gracie just rides into the sunset but I guess this could be interesting. 170 seems to be the weight class to watch in UFC right now the other champs seem to be pretty dominate over there competition.
  3. I'm going to have to defend Chuck here. Why in the world would he want to prove he's a wrestler against Randy Couture. Randy is an olympic caliber wrestler and Chuck's got a pretty good thing going with his right hand. I couldn't say who would have been better in there prime and the reason UFC is so cool is that at any point someone can get KO'd. One thing I will say is out of all 4 champs Matt Hughes is the only one who primarily ends his fights in submission. Franklin, Liddel and Arlovski are all stand up or ground and pound guy's. They know how to wrestle they train jiu jitsu but they'll throw leather with anyone. I watched the first few UFC PPV back in the day as I was big into Tae Kwon do at the time and MMA has never been better. I'd be suprised to see Gracie last 2 minutes with Hughes and I would be willing to bet Hughes isn't going to try to prove he's a better wrestler. He's going to try to knock him out. Just like Chuck.... Cant wait to watch. BJ
  4. I can tell you that the AWARE match will be hosted by Green Mountain Practical Shooters and will be held again at the Lamoille Valley Fish and Game Club in Morrisville VT. And I believe it will be in August. We've been trying to hold out picking a date because the last two years we picked our date early and it ended up being the same weekend as the Steel Challenge and World Shoot. I would expect a date to be announced in the next couple of weeks. Hope this helps we would really like to see the Army team make the trip up this year. BJ
  5. I just recieved an 8 pound keg of IMR PB instead of 7625. It looks like I'm going to have to keep it as the place I orderd it from is telling me it was my mistake. My question is has anyone tried this in any pistol load and to what success have they had. I had never even heard of this powder before and have no idea what I will use it for. Thanks, BJ
  6. Just had my Baby Eagle tricked out by Bob Colgan at Accurate Plating and Weaponry. Adjustable sight , Trigger job and Hard chrome. It came out great. Bob found a sight and made it work cause there is no sight that just drops in. But it works well. I sent mine in after Bob had worked on a friend of mines Baby Eagle and I liked it so much I sent mine to him. Hope this helps. BJ
  7. I had two Subaru RS's and liked them both a lot. Could't afford the STI so I got a VWgti instead. I'll be going back to Subaru for my next car. I agree with Xre the interior and sterio are a little nicer in the VW but I've heard Subaru is improving the newer models. AWD is as good as they say. Ran all season tires through Vermont winters and never had a problem. 80 miles round trip to work. Just My .02
  8. I heard Sig is releasing a new 22lr this spring called the Musquito. Looks like a cool little shooter. Basicly the same as a 226 just slightly smaller. I've been thinking about picking one up depending on the price. Just another option to think about.
  9. I was having the same problem with my Glock mags forever. While in Florida for the Open I stopped into a gun shop in Merritt Island that happened to be the biggest Glock supplier for law enforcement in Florida. I asked him what the trick was and he does it just like Beven(no big suprise). Push the punch way in use it as leverage and give it a good snap. I also have always cut the little tabs and have never had any issues. It really isn't that hard when you see it done but definetly frustrating if you've never seen it. Good luck BJ
