  2. 23.3 grains of Benchmark works well too with a SMK 69
  3. I have experience with both soft cases and I also own a iM3300 hardcase. In my opinion the long guns move around to much for air travel inside either bag in the iM3300. I've tried the Field Pack, the Safariland 3-Gun Competition case and the Brownells 3-Gun bag and was not happy with any of them for air travel with the iM3300. I bought my iM3300 without foam in hopes that the Field Pack would suffice... Now I've got an even better option. Check out the pic, This is what I'll have very soon for air travel to 3-Gun matches. I'll just throw the Safariland bag on top of the guns inside the iM3300 and be ready when I get to the match. Contact Paul at paul@pelicanarmory.com to discuss your particular custom foam insert needs. Be sure to tell Paul Sacramento Black Rifle sent ya
  4. Here's a pic of an FDE rifle LOKI built for a color example.
  5. Glad you enjoyed your conversation with Erik. He's a great guy and has time to discuss options to make the build right for you.
  6. I'm sure you'll hear from LOKI soon. They have great Customer Service but Friday's are very busy days for them.
  7. Here's a LOKI billet 3G rifle with Titanium upper/lower that belongs to a member of the Sacramento Black Rifle Shooting Team
  8. I think you'll like the burnt bronze color, they had a rifle painted burnt bronze at SHOT and it looked amazing and got lots of attention.
  9. Although they get several requests for a LOKI 308 rifle there are no definite plans for a 308 rifle anytime in the near future. I work on Erik every Month though in hopes that those plans will change
  10. I wish I could tell you the 6" gun would make you shoot better. It won't. If the 6" guns were all that and a bag of chips all the pro's would be running 6" guns. Get whatever you like and shoot it. I tried a 6" gun and didn't notice a difference so went back to my 5" gun.
  11. Yeah, not going to get a LH upper on a LOKI rifle... Sorry. Would be funny though, Stag LH upper on a LOKI rifle Stag is the only one I know of that makes a LH forged upper. I don't think you'd need a LH upper though as most all the left handed shooters I know have absolutely zero issues with regular uppers on their rifles.
  12. Definately give LOKI a call, they offer great rifles and customer service. They can build you exactly what you want at a very resonable price. And PM me for a little bonus if you decide to order a LOKI
  13. Great thread. I shoot LOKI rifles exclusivey and have used several of their products. I own both billet and forged varieties of their rifles in 16" to 20" barrel lenghts. They build me exactly what I want and have been super to deal with. Fast shipping, quality products, great customer support and can get me anything I need. Heck, they even built me a sweet 9mm 2011 for 3-Gun competitions I think I've said this before elsewhere in the enosverse and I better clarify that I have very little time behind a Stag rifle compared to LOKI rifles. I know Kalani and Jesse both have LOKI rifles and will both tell you that it's tough to compare which is better... If I got free Stag rifles I suppose I'd have to lean that direction When I went on my search for the perfect 3-Gun rifle, I wanted a few things that nobody offered in an off the shelf rifle at a reasonable price. JP was basically my choice but at $3000 I had to shop around. I wanted a billet upper/lower set, carbon fiber handguard, Surefire muzzle brake, PRS stock, lightweight 18" or 20" barrel and LOKI was able to get me what I wanted for almost $1000 less. I worked with LOKI to get me the rifle I wanted and then we discussed the ultimate forged 3-Gun rifle and what it would look like... And guess what? They built it! IMO the LOKI rifle and it's options are by far the best out there for the price. It's a bit more than a Stag 3G rifle if you add a S3G trigger to the LOKI but the carbon handguard, better Nordic brake and a lighter barrel make it worth the extra expense IMO. I don't use the S3G trigger either so that didn't matter to me. I like the SSA a little better but prefer a JP trigger. And for those that prefer an aluminum handguard, for a little extra $$ you can get the 15" VTAC handguard! Ask Jeff Cramblit, Jamie Foote, Chris Anderson, Pat Kelley or Mike Cyrus how they like their LOKI rifles if you ever see them. I'm sure they'll be happy to share their experiences as well. I like the personalization you get when you order a semi custom rifle from LOKI. Won't get that just anywhere.
  14. The stock LOKI 3G rifle comes with a factory trigger group that's been stoned to produce a more crisp break, it's pretty nice and way better than a factory trigger group. The SSA or S3G trigger are an option as well if you like them. LOKI will custom build each rifle so it can be made any way you want. IMO the advantages of the LOKI over the Stag would be the carbon fiber handguard, fixed buttstock option, better muzzle brake, and a better barrel. It's a bit lighter as well. I don't run the S3G trigger so I'd install something else anyway and they can be had used for $170 or so at some gun stores. Good luck on your decision. LOKI is the way to go.
  15. I too would recommend a LOKI rifle. Or one of their uppers if you're trying to save some $$$. They can build you whatever you want so just give them a call and discuss.
  16. Remember all the warnings about "Check your email address carefully?" Only one correct email address for the 4 of you. Dan will get an email tonight. Jared, Rob & Brett will get emails tomorrow once I have time to sort out the error file. Linda Chico (L-2035) 2012 ARFCOM-Rockcastle ProAm 3 Gun Statistician Dang... So sorry Linda. Just tell me what you need from me to fix the problem
  17. +1 for the LOKI 3G rifle! They're a great rifle for the money.
  18. I hope we get in... No email from Linda yet for anyone on our Team... The wait is killing me
  19. We have a club North of Sacramento California that does a variation of DMG Multigun. IDPA DMG rules but with totally different scoring and USPSA targets. It's fun for practice and their scoring forces you to shoot A's
  20. Our shooting team are all using LOKI rifles of various flavors, the 18" double fluted barrels are a winner. Everything about this rifle is top notch. The folks at LOKI really are listening to what we want in a cometition rifle. And at that price for what you get... Buy one! Keep in mind the $1249 starting price is for a limited time...
  21. Definately a great new holster! Played with them at SHOT and will be getting one soon.
  22. I started shooting production a bit this year too and my setup is similar to everyone else's. Bladetech DOH w/tek lok, 3 pro series competition single mag pouches w/tek lok and a CR Speed belt (for now). Sacramento Black Rifle stocks most all of the Blade-tech goods so it's nice to be able to pick it up in a store.
  23. cwsanfor, sounds like you need to speak with Manny Bragg about his training classes. Manny does an amazing job at helping shooters at any skill level but for me he helped me learn trigger control (although I don't always use it) and helped me get from a C class shooter to almost M in about a year. If you need help contacting Manny let me know but he can be found at Universal Shooting Academy
