  1. How about a nickel 6 inch 1911, with gold sights, hammer, trigger, ambi safeties, and grip safety, and purple velvet grips.... For full effect, get your teeth capped with alternating gold and silver for that evil sneer before you bust a cap.
  2. http://www.gunsamerica.com/transfer.cgi The Guns America site has an extensive list of FFL holders, many with what they charge for a transfer. Just enter your telephone area code, and you get a pretty good list.
  3. A friend of mine had the same type of problems when he first started shooting. We deduced that either he was somehow pushing on the right side of the slide stop during recoil, or friction between the slide stop and link were causing the slide stop to move to the left. When the slide would cycle, the slide stop would start to move through the disasembly notch, and lock the gun up, just as you described. We put a drop of oil on the link, and had him keep his finger away from the frame, and haven't had this problem since. Good luck.
  4. I use a 19 lb mainspring in my P16-40 and haven't had any misfires using winchester small pistol primers. What primers are you using? Also, I've heard of the stock Para firing pin and retainer mushrooming so that the firing pin cannot return to it's normal position and the hammer doesn't strike it as hard.

Gaming usually pays. The D-backs have just decided that nobody is getting between them and last place, this year. I do believe that any pitcher who intentionally walks someone should have to wear a skirt for the rest of the game.
  6. I have a lefty Ghost Holster for my P16-40, and it is okay. When it came, the channel was too narrow for the trigger guard, so I had to have the Smith widen it. I'm also not too fond of having to drill a hole in my trigger guard. The holster is very secure though, and very fast once you get it adjusted correctly. I think if I had to buy another holster though, I would try the Guga Ribas.
  7. I have two BUL M-5 mags that I have been running in my P16-40 for about a month now. So far they run just as good as the Para mags, and with Para springs and followers hold one more round.
  8. Check these guys for ammo. They have the best prices that I have been able to find. http://www.miwallcorp.com
