Did you ever figure out the problem? I own an indoor shooting range and have seen lots and lots of strange things. Lots of ammo related issues like no crimp on the case some no powder some bullets and primers upside down. All factory ammo. If I had to guess I would say ammo issue. Hard to believe hardware issues across all of them.

I wouldn't waste money on new bolt for a 1022. Just put some time and energy into what Ruger doesn't. Fit and finish. Dremel couple of stones maybe a 6 inch grinder with polishing wheels and compound I bet if you racked the slide on my 1022's or 22 pistols you would never believe they are all stock components. And they will cycle everything north of cb longs.

Try another mag.

I read a book on perception, Like perceived value and perceived performance. It was very interesting to see how and why people make the judgments. And it is exactly why you should try things for yourself. Opinions are great especially when data shows that most point in a direction you are looking for. One persons Gold is another persons Trash and as long as they perceive something they will stick to it.

Exactly what I was thinking.

I have shot some indoor matches with a laser on both pistol and rifle. With the laser on and people watching the laser but with me shooting with sights or dot on rifle they said they could not see the laser track very good on the targets. I had to slow down by many seconds to shoot with the laser. much much slower process. To me it's like watching someone shoot steel that waits for steel reaction before moving to the next target.

Thanks, I have done a few rifles and pistols all have been metal and I got great results. I bead blasted them during prep for adhesion, I was thinking about lightly blasting the frame for better adhesion what do you think? I'm gonna test it on a AR grip first.

I had mine done at a gunshow and i'm not that impressed with them, I usually use foam plugs and muffs.

Does the 2230 meter well. I'm going to be using it with a 550

I have checked alot of my once fired brass and they are all smaller then the oal that the guide on my trimmer lists. What length are you trimming them at I want to trim them first then size if at all possible.

Has anyone Duracoated the frame on a glock? does it scratch? what did you do to prep it?
