Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. ..you probably know this already but for emphasis....check also your stance, elbow position and tension points in your shooting platform..ensure tension is at the right points in your shooting position..
  2. First off I think u need a full and complete grip on the gun (with gaps or spaces between hand and grip minimised to reduce 'wiggle' room- so the gun has to fit your hand well)...then do exactly as G-man said.. I find that if you have to be making 'special' accomodations then your performance from shot to shot will not be consistent.
  3. the cz is 'covering' up for you whilst the XD is less forgiving...and nothing is wrong with that but if you want to press forward then you know what you must do..
  4. establish the correct intention for the target challenge and focus on your intention..

    Beginner's Mind

understand that for the beginner what we really need is to control and direct his/her inherent awareness.. this will bring the enlightment that will temper expectations, anxiety, fear and stress.. after that we can only step back and allow that person to discover the 'WOW' moment..

    Power of Focus

focus is great and we know it is powerful; the problem is the extensive stimulation it places on the body's energy pathways.. that is is why humans find it so hard to stay there..consistently and at a high level.. I think equally important in learning how to 'be there' is learning how to 'not be there' and we can use our 'not be there' time to reenergise our energy pathways..btw sleep doesnt always allow this.. to look at one without the other is to hear the sound of one hand clapping..
  7. for steel and ipsc go with the .40 over the .45; lighter bullet, major power specs, higher velocity.. lots of field experience with the round and the debugging has been done. Go with the gun that suits your style, recoil behaviour, natural point of aim, hands etc. try them out!! we can only tell you our preferences but that means nothing.. Good luck!!!
  8. Congratulations to Lesgar Murdock, the overall champion. This is a very promising shooter out of Jamaica; I hope he goes from strength to strength..!! Also congrats to all other winners and participants (including ground staff).. Manny lost another close one..Manny, I feel your pain.. as for the weather, toughen up guys!!!!
  9. not an important point to focus on...
  10. as jake said... do this for your left and right hand..
  11. Keep them clean, one less thing to worry about.. the clean doesn't always have to be extensive..and do remember the magazines.. Saludos!
  12. I suggest Refinement and Repitition by Steve Anderson.. follow the instructions in this book..
