Has anybody worked up a load 38 SPL for Clean Shot and 158gr Xtreme? Lovex/Shooters World load data seems a little high if comparing to Accu #2?
Lovex (L)LRN 158gr Clean Shot/ D032 4.3gr to 5.2gr
Shooters World Sierra 158gr JSP Clean Shot 2.9gr to 3.8gr
Lee load data 158grs (L) Accu #2 3.6gr to 4.0gr

I have found the F.W. ARMS™ SIMPLE DECAPPER for $35 to be beast. I run it in my autodrive 1150 prepping 9mm. it pops Norma primers out without stopping the press. I have procced 12000 cases plus. The pin has not bent yet, unlike dillion and lee deprimers.

Always liked them, but got tired of playing the game waiting for them to become available. Also of the mindset that long time customers should get first dibs.
But that is just me.

Hi, trying to track down a replacement yoke screw and spring for my new used toy. Seems the Taurus part is on back order:-(. I have been told there might be an equivalent S&W part that would work?? Not sure how to reference though. I was hoping the brain trust might have some insight.
Thanks Ed

Got tired of MG a couple of years ago after another major event. It would have been nice if they let their long time customers have first dibs on stock.

From time to time you will see a kit of replacement parts to a S&W revolver. When you do, buy two of them.
Okay, are they labeled in frame size? And where might they pop up at? I have a thing for spare parts!

Gun parts corps all newer N frames should work, here is a 629 pic and numbers, what you describing is part number 68. Smith & Wesson Model 629-2 Revolver Parts | Numrich (gunpartscorp.com)
Thanks sir, before I asked I did a search for the springs and was not clear on which one it was. I will give Gun Parts a shot!

So as usual, I lost a part in my teardown Can anybody point me to part number/source for the 929 cylinder stop spring.

I initially went with boring out the cap rather than removing because of the look without it. I finally ended up making it where it was no longer an issue (pic). The unfortunate part is the cap with the comp port is really not needed and has negligible affect on recoil. The other advantage to redoing the muzzle is most have noted how horrible the forcing cone & Muzzle crown were cut by S&W correcting that helps accuracy. You can do so much more with load adjustment. Not having the muzzle caps would have allowed a better design.
Yeah that is the long range plan

I get it. The gun does look better with it on. Drill that cap out to 1/2” or larger and blue loctite the screw in with a lock washer. Should be ok for a few hundred rounds at a time.
That would seem to be the way to go right now!

Drill it out if you want to leave it on. Easiest thing to do is toss it in the trash.
Well there is tossing in the trash, but then I would have modify my snazzy holster or get new holster made, re-crown the barrel. Being a general cheap ass, all the goes against my nature:-)

I thought I remember seeing someone who modified (made it ID larger) the end cap on a 929? Can't seem to find my link now:-(

Thanks for the info!

Most 929 barrels come off, get set in 1 turn and gap and cone recut.
What is being gained by the extra turn? And what is the ballpark cost of having that done?

Thanks, I was having the same problem with the alert in Opera. Does not seems to have a problem in Chrome

I believe you could take some of the stress off the shell plate by running a gutted Lee 223 crimp die down and touching the plate with the bottom of the die when the handle is all the way forward. But I still worry about the case rim.

I stumbled on this while looking for a SIRT, thanks...tag for future use.

It seems like Rubber City is the best bang for the buck

I run Redding dies for 9mm and 5.56 on my 650xl. For me the micrometer has made life easier. I use a Lee undersize die to eliminate setback problems on the 9mm.

I was looking at getting a new toy, but because of an upcoming move to Hawaii, I need 10 round mags for it. So my question is, are 10 rounds available for a Zastava M70 O-PAP AK? I am not up to speed on AK’s and its variants.
Thanks
