  1. I picked this up a couple months ago slightly used and wanted to do some mods of my own. I picked up the Tromix Stock adapter, Firebird Long Handgaurd, and made my own barrel shroud with a fake look compensator. I stripped the whole gun down and spent a couple hours deburing and getting in ready for refinshing. Then coated pretty much all metal parts with Graphite Black Cerakote. After it was back together it was missing that mean look on the barrel end so I make up a shroud and a few hours later here she is. I'm not thrilled with the way the barrel shroud came out but it sure looks better to me than stock with the knurled sight mark the stock barrel had. Also I wasn't to thrilled with the way the Firebird Precision forearm fit, but now its fine with the barrel shroud I made up.
  2. Great, thats what I wanted to hear I knew I should have brought more than 1 brand of ammo with me yesterday. Yesterday was a bad day at the range. I went to sight in my 50BMG and take the SLP out for a test and both had issue's. The darn scope kept on sliding forward a 1/8th of an inch each shot with the rings tighter than I would have liked. 3. I took my new SLP out yesterday and came across the same issue using the Walmart Winchester 7.5's. I had stove pipes, shortstrokes, and also a couple of times the bolt got somewhat stuck and required a good pull to lodge free. Not a good day at the range. My SX2 if I recall correctly ate this ammo up without an issue. So if a buy the Browning piston for $100 with fix this issue? Thanks Mac
