Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. If you are just wanting to reload pistol ammo, you can find a Dillon Square Deal for under 200 bucks if you are paitient.I started with a Square Deal and then moved up to a 650 with case feeder. The Square Deal is a great press but will only load pistol rounds.I wish you luck.Ken
  2. Moving across an opening with a dry gun is completely different than reloading with retention while moving down a wall.At least with the RWR I have one round in the chamber and I'm moving along a wall not crossing open doorways.I would ding you for crossing an opening with a gun at slide lock or RWR.An open doorway is not the same as a wall.Page 43 1st paragraph states that if you are behind cover you may move while reloading and I will not call someone on it unless they change the rules.Ken
  3. My trigger pull is at 2.75 lbs and will get lighter as more rounds are put down range. So if I make it 3 lbs it will eventually get below the legal limit due to wear on the surfaces of the striker and connector as well as the springs wearing in.I don't want a 1 lbs trigger pull but I don't want to have to replace the internals after every 10,000 rounds either.I just hope they do away with this proposed rule.Ken
  4. If the targets aren't neutralized until scored why are you allowed to advance past them during the course of fire? Come on guys it's a game.Ken
  5. Page 43 1st paragraph states that a competitior may move behind cover while reloading. So if I were going down a hall or wall then I can reload while moving as a wall is cover.Too many people have the same for everyone mentality if that was the case we should all load only six rounds in the gun and our reloads and just shoot one big division that would include all revolvers and autos then tell them its the same for everyone.(my ass it is).If you have to use this excuse your stage sucks.Ken
  6. Mine hold 4 more rounds with the DP pads.Ken
  7. Think he may be talking about the jogger baby strollers with the knobby tires.Just my guess may be wrong.Ken www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5246100 edited to add link
  8. I'm with Merlin.I have a high regard for womens breast and the thought of Hillary's breast almost made me toss my cookies(OK that was a lie I would look at Hillary's breast).Ken
  9. I have a Glock 35 that I have worn the factory finish and a Duracoat finish off of and have gotten it hardchromed by Tripp is this gun still legal to shoot in USPSA Production class. Sorry if this has been discussed but my searches didn't turn anything up.Thanks,Ken

    Glock Ad = Dq

I have both (homesmith and drop-in trigger kit) in different Glocks with no problems.I would have to say without seeing it that it was shooter error. Both Glocks that I shoot have sub 3 lbs triggers and the only way that they will fire is pulling the trigger.I would recommend setting up a video camera and doing some reloads to see what you are actually doing during the reloads.I would have also hung around helped paste, keep score,RO and help tear down.Good Luck,Ken
  11. I had that same problem with my SDB before I went with the 650.The index arm (white plastic thing with spring loaded steel tip)that indexes the shellplate had become worn and would make the shellplate jump hence spilling powder and causing primers to flip in the primer seating mechanism.Called Dillon and explained what the press was doing they sent me the parts free. That fixed it.Hope this helps.I would still call Dillon and see what the tech has to say. 1 800 223 4570.Good Luck,Ken
  12. Not that I know of I just change mine when that happens my 35 is the only Glock that I own that this happens to.I'm on my 3rd one after 30,000 rnds.Glock would not send me one stating that it had to be installed by an armorer so I just bought 5 from a guy on GT.Ken
  13. If it covers your weapon with your arms extended out to your side it is legal whether it is a shirt, vest, jacket or coat.I think a shirt is a little on the flimsy side as I wore one for a while and would always get a handful of it as well as the gun when drawing from the holster.Look around on ebay for a used 5.11 vest or check out www.pistolpacking.com as they have a nice vest without all the pockets of the 5.11.I wish you luck,Ken If it covers your weapon with your arms extended out to your side it is legal whether it is a shirt, vest, jacket or coat.I think a shirt is a little on the flimsy side as I wore one for a while and would always get a handful of it as well as the gun when drawing from the holster.Look around on ebay for a used 5.11 vest or check out www.pistolpacking.com as they have a nice vest without all the pockets of the 5.11.I wish you luck,Ken
