  1. I searched the forum but didn't find anything on these. Has anyone used one? Just curious about quality. Thanks! https://www.strikeindustries.com/si-voa-bm2-rail.html
  2. Thanks, Roxy. I looked at the pics on their site, very nice.
  3. I recently bought an M2 and I'm adding the bells and whistles for 3-gun, I would like to have the loading port opened up and don't trust myself with a dremel. I've been looking at some of companies that offer this service but thought I would ask the group their thoughts on who they used. I'd prefer it done on a mill for symmetry and consistency. Thanks in advance.
  4. My 1.5-8x28 arrived yesterday and, so far, I'm pretty impressed. I put it on a rifle just to get a feel for what it was like to look through, it seems to be quite clear with decent eye relief and eye box. The illumination on the reticle is the brightest I've seen on a scope, it's WAY brighter than my Vortex PST 1-4's. Can't wait to see what it's like at the range.
  5. Mine will be here tomorrow, hopefully I'll get out this weekend to give it a whirl. what are you guys using for a mount? Would a 2" extended mount be enough?
  6. +1 on the MIL/LEO discount, it is very nice.
  7. What do you think of the turrets? they feel mushy at all?
  8. Yeah, the 1.5x is a little off putting, it will take some getting used to; it didn't seem to slow Piatt down though, but then again, him and me are like comparing apples and cinder blocks.
  9. How many times did you send it back? Since it was repaired do you have much mileage on it.
  10. Anyone using one of these beasts? I'm seriously thinking about buying one but have not been able to find one within a 50 mile radius to look at. I know its big, and relatively heavy, I worked the FNH Match and saw the one Bruce Piatt was using on his .308. I'd really like to know what the eye box is like and how the eye relief is, thoughts on the quality of the glass would be appreciated too. It will go on a LR-308 that I use for Heavy Metal 3Gunning. Thanks!
  11. Milder recoil is more the goal, so long as accuracy doesn't suffer too much.
  12. I have a few boxes of Nosler 140gr. HPBT that I want to load up for 3-Gun. I’ll be using them out of my M1A (1:11”) and an AR-10 (1:10”). Nosler is saying 44.5 grains of A-2495 is their most accurate out of a 24” 1:12” barrel. Anyone have any pet loads they might recommend? Thanks!

    SPS 9mm mags for Para

Curious if you had to "tune" the mags at all since they are 38 super/9 mm? The reason I ask is, I have bought 38 super/9 mm Para mags from CDNN in the past and they need to be modified in order to function properly with 9mm, they would FTF after the first 2 or 3 rounds of 9mm. Thanks!
  14. This is a good source for recreational activities in the region, it is distributed to federal agencies: http://www.recreationnews.com/
  15. These are the dimensions I have from Para: Our Rear Sight Dovetail on all models is Standard 0.375" 30 degrees Our Front Sight Dovetail on all models is Standard 0.250" 20 degrees
  16. I picked one up recently, it functions without problem but I had pretty big issues with the finish and a mag well that would not tighten up and sent it back. The casting marks on mine were very noticeable, Para's CS looked it over and said they were within their tolerances, they sent it back with a loose mag well. I own several other Para's and, up until my interaction with their customer service, was always a fan but I am finished with them.

    P18 for multigun?

I use one. I would look for an older candian or one of the current production models though. I have 3 Para's in 45, 40 and 9, none of them have given me a speck of trouble and they are very accurate. My first 1911 was a Les Baer, with 1 1/2" option, and I'm still impressed with my Para's. this is a good read on the topic. http://forums.1911forum.com/showthread.php?t=340068
