  1. This has spun far afield from the original request for contact info. If anyone has anything relevant to add, please PM a Moderator. Closed.
  2. Oh. So what you really want to know what they are thinking. Right... Ask IPSC. Otherwise, this is just tilting at windmills and asking others to commiserate.
  3. Too late. After your opening post, you were a marked man.
  4. My thought is that this is best addressed with the manufacturer. From the Forum Guidelines... Brian's Forums is not the place to resolve customer service issues or disputes you may have with a manufacturer, dealer, gunsmith, or individual. Closed.
  5. Nice write up, and a great idea/suggestion, but still not a rule.
  6. Since this has turned into a discussion of whether to purchase a Commander-sized 9mm, it doesn't really resemble an ad anymore. I'm moving it to the 1911 section for now. If the OP still wishes one, please re-list the ad (minus verbiage about the kids, so as to not go down this wormhole again). -Admin
  7. Under Permitted Features: Factory installed light rail attachments if the dust cover is no longer than 3.25 inches measured from the rear of the slide stop pin to the front of the dust cover.
  8. Which you have done. This isn't the platform to correct customer service issues. Contacting the vendor is the way to go. Good luck.
  9. Per the Forum Guidelines, this is not the place to conduct market research. Closed.
  10. Topics merged. Please don't cross-post. It muddies the waters. Thanks...
  11. What a remarkable life. Good Speed, and Rest in peace.
  12. On ANY call I get for solicitations (scams or legit) I string them along, right up to the point where I'm supposed to divulge whatever personal info they're after (credit card number, Social Security number, etc.). I then inquire, "Before we do that, can I ask a question?" Sure, they say. So I ask in the creepiest voice I can, "What color panties are you wearing?" The women get offended, bit the first time I asked a guy that he started yelling, "But I'm a MAN!" "That's OK, buddy. Be proud of who and what you are! C'mon out! It's dark in that closet." They don't call back...
  13. Shorthand version is that you may COMPEL a shooter to shooter one-handed through the use of props and/or stage design, but you may not COMMAND a shooter to do so. Design the stage to force the action you desire. 1.1.5.4 is the very limited exception.
  14. That's a very generous offer. Happy 4th, everyone!
  15. Sparta (Illinois) IS a sight to behold! IIRC correctly from my visits there, it has 3-1/2 miles of clay-bird launchers, room for just over 1,000 RVs, and its own water tower.
  16. Maybe contact Brazos Custom. My Brazos blaster came with a set of 4 mags, engraved by him. I don't know if he sells them that way (purchased separate from a gun), but they would meet your desires.
  17. Jason, I can only tell you that the average of staff at the Nationals (of any flavor) has been a point of criticism by shooters for at least 22 years that I know of... Please consider that there's a lot of folks who may have aged beyond their physical abilities to contribute as a contending competitor, but who still actively support the sport they love in a meaningful way -- as a match official. Their feet may have slowed a bit but that doesn't mean their minds aren't still quick (yeah, some have dropped off, but that's a different topic). Your experience level as an RO/CRO isn't dependant on footspeed. =================== As for time differences between Summer and Fall/Winter, those 3 hours would have been a blessing when I was RM at the first GA State 3Gun match at So. River. It was a pretty big event with a lot of heavy hitters. I had 2 pickups pull up into the mouth of the last active bay and turn on their hi-beams, while I stood behind the last 4 competitors on the starting gallows platform and shined 2 hi-zoot "Fighting" lights on their targets. (Would that be RO Interference today? ) We got through it and laughed about it, but from a match management standpoint that extra daylight is irreplaceable.
  18. Jason, I understand the number of hours of daylight is pretty much the same for both locations. I was speaking of the hours lost by moving a match to October from the summer months (at either location). There's almost a 3 hour difference between those seasons.
  19. Here you can. There will be those who disagree with that, and they're allowed to do that, within our forum guidelines. In particular: Please be polite. Or if not polite, at least respectful. No bickering. Regardless of the subject matter.Antagonistic, offensive, or quarrelsome tones are not acceptable.
  20. Weather is more tolerable that time of year, for sure. But the hours of daylight lost by a change like that would make hosting any major very difficult, and especially so for a Nationals event.
  21. No mention of caliber in the rulebook... 21.3 Appendix D7 -- 21.3 After-market slides and barrels SLIDES: You may replace the slide with an OFM or aftermarket slide. BARRELS: You may replace the barrel with an OFM or aftermarket barrel.
  22. True. I forget the name, but I remember a hi-end shooter bumped at Nationals being the impetus for the change. It came too late for him, but is was the right move.
