  1. I’m loving my PCC. The Timney trigger works fine for me and double taps are so much easier than my AR-9. The recoil pulse is so much different than a blowback. I did some polishing on the feed ramps and am getting Gen 1 mags to feed consistently.
  2. I’ve got a month to get the gremlins out before the first outdoor match of the season. So far no cycling issues with my old PCC loads which is good since I have a fair amount loaded.
  3. George16..very little material is removed. Take off the sharp edges and polish. A guy on arf.com did it a tutorial on it and somebody in here had some photos of what they did as well. I am surprised a how rough the extension is from the factory for a $1,700 rifle.
  4. Got it to run today. Changing the profile of the left feed ramp worked and the Gen 1 mag runs fine now.
  5. It is. I just did some feed ramp work for it so hopefully this will resolve th feed issue. I ran 300 rounds yesterday with the Gen 2 mag running flawlessly and the Gen 1 having a couple ftf’s per mag every time on the left fed ramp. I opened up the left side to see if this helps and then add the extensions. The gun runs flat with easy follow up shots. It’s PCC ready.
  6. I picked up my MPX PCC the other day and got it out to shoot yesterday. The gun came with a Gen 2 mag and I had purchased a Gen 1 (not knowing) while waiting for the MPX to arrive. I had one malfunction with the Gen 2 in its first firing but after that no issues. The Gen 1 gave me at least one FTF every mag. Now I’ve read some info that says the Gen 1 mag has a stronger spring than the 2’s so will adding a mag extension cure any issues? I’ve got two TTI extensions ready to go on but I am waiting to put them on until the gun is broke in so any issues that arise are easier to diagnose. I will say this is the softest shooing PCC I’ve shot and look forward to really putting it through it’s paces.
  7. I’ve shot thousands of rounds through my 34 and it always shoots left. Even with the RMR it shoots left. I dry fire consistently and cannot overcome it. Adjust your sights and shoot it.
  8. I’m picking up my PCC today. What is the gas port diameter on the Gen 2’s?
  9. Time to reserrect an old thread. How’s the Calvin Elite holding up? I ran one in my AR 9 but only at 90% functioning. Looking at getting an MPX so if it’s still working definitely something I want.
  10. Thanks for the replies. I’ll try all these suggestions.
  11. All mags are loaded to capacity (18 for Gen 2’s and 20 with the older mags.). I haven’t changed how I grip either, I’m slow so there’s plenty of time to get a proper grip. I shot six stages yesterday. The first two stages the gun ran fine after reloads with the last four giving me fits. I did one reload at slide lock and actually overseated the Gen 2 mag.
  12. The last few matches I’ve shot with my Edge I have had failure-to-feeds right after a mag change with various mags, including Gen 2’s, and after clearing the malfunction it functions fine. It is always the first round in the reloaded mag that hangs up. Besides this malfunction the pistol runs good. I’m shooting 165 flat points at 1.175” and it has done this with 165 HP’s loaded to the same length.
  13. I run the exact same load in my 308 semi as well...
  14. Just shot my 9mm Springfield last weekend in a match for the first time. It shoots great but I am getting killed by the minor scoring. I am still in 3 gun frame of mind and need to slow down some.
  15. I just finished stippling the front strap on my stainless SA and comparing it to my STI Lawman with a 25 lpi checkered front strap I am liking the stippling. A lot easier to do than checkering, better purchase with my grip, and is unique. Plus a $20 spring loaded center punch is a lot cheaper and I can use it for other non-gun related projects as well.
  16. Awww man, how did the Canadians find out?? I thought all they did was play hockey and chug maple syrup. I can't believe you got up early enough to sign up right away... Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
  17. I know I am not Bill but we are closing registration at 60 and are at 44 right now. If registration keeps up like it has we will be full by Friday.. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
  18. Is there just Heavy or will there be a Heavy Optics?? Either way I'll be there. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
  19. I've built a 14.5 for this season after running my DD carbine the second half of last year's season with great results. I was running a Noveske 18" but found the 14.5 so much lighter and maneuverable for the bay shooting we do with no shots over 150 yards. The new rig with a mid-length gas and H3 buffer is so soft shooting and combined with my Surefire comp does not move. I am going to start testing Nosler 69 and 77's so as long as you know your ballistics and practice I don't see a reason not to hit targets out to 400+ yards. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
  20. Sorry the Yankee Candle won't be able to see you hosers this time around...just be sure to keep Pete on a short chain!!
  21. I signed up for in-stock email notification and purchased as soon as the e-mail pushed in which was last Wednesday at 3 pm..
  22. Just received my two 19 rounders for three-gun...
  23. Skip those barrels and go to Rainier Arms. Their Select barrels are in your $200ish price range and are backed by an excellent company. These are probably the best deal right now for a quality barrel at an affordable price...

    CZ pistol for 3 gun

I ran my SP01 at the Blue Ridge match last weekend and am very pleased with it's performance having only received it two weeks before the match with very little handling or shooting a CZ up to that point. I threw a bunch of CGW parts in it, ran some test loads, and headed to KY for the match. The accuracy is outstanding and points very naturally for me. There were multiple 50 yard plus steel targets (one out to 118) and I never had a issue hitting them most times with one or two shots. Buy with confidence...
  25. I just tried this with my factory mags and I don't even need to slam them hard to get the base pad to slide off. I have no problems with the Mec-gars..
