I don't doubt you. I only have experience with the 7, 15, and 20. I purchased the 20 with the orange spring to go with the Smoke Composites A5 tube from Brekke. The Kynshot website advises against using the 5006 for 9mm.
That's because one doesn't exist. I had a Volquartsen hammer installed that dropped it below 3 lbs but the trigger wouldn't reliably reset. The TK trigger with the stiffer return spring is about 3.5 to 4 lbs and doesn't come anywhere close to a Hiperfire Eclipse trigger.
I was going to try the mcarbo trigger, but I got a great deal on another TK trigger.
I held off because the KS7 spring kit that I ordered was a nightmare to install. The spring kit for the Ruger PC9 also seemed to be discontinued without any reason.
Both my Tandemkross triggers have zero pre travel. Unfortunately, they need the stiffer trigger return spring that Tandemkross provides to reset reliably.
Like someone said earlier, you can swap the slides with a 9mm one. I have a .40 slide with a 9mm barrel and extractor installed for a few years now and I haven't had an issue with the K9 mags.
In addition to possibly not making power factor, bullets that heavy have difficulty cycling compacts reliably. They also have fat ogives that causes feeding issues in barrels with short leads. I would just stick to 115 or 124g with compacts.
What year did this take place? I tried to purchase slides and barrels from EAA between 2012 to 2019 and they never had anything I wanted in stock. Luckily I found some used items in the classifieds over the years.
The correct answer would either be a Witness Hunter or a Limited with a cone barrel. But out of these two, I would go with the Elite Match. The frame is hard chromed, and with some minor action work, the single action trigger can be pretty good.
