  1. Try using duster gas or green gas at a temperature of 6 degrees C, and then you'll understand what am I talking about.
  2. Hi I've been shooting for quite a while, got my Marui Hi-Capa 4.3 and thought about modifying my old Dragon I got from Evike Here's how it all began: 1. The standard look KJ Works grip installed 2. I don't have pictures of what happened inside before I added a red dot scope, but: full trigger parts set was replaced by steel ones (I mean, disconnector, valve knocker, sear, hammer... what did I forget to mention?) P.S. Don't get these parts if they were manufactured by 5KU - I've been polishing them for several days until the gun started working. feather weight alluminum blowback engine installed 140% both recoil and hammer springs installed Red dot scope installed 3. And then I got bored (already got the idea?) 4. OK... Let's do some real sanding... 5. Here it is, lies fully sanded, polished slide, and still not coated with anythng... I assembled it just for the looks 6. OK... Time to do something to get closer to finishing... Recoil spring made by AIP (alluminum) was installed (for hi-capa 4.3) 7. http://ikelk.lt/images/48629 Other side 8. http://ikelk.lt/images/48630 Still not finished, but I already like it Well... It weighs like a horse... I mean, my dragon now weighs ~1.345 kg It's time to tighten the red dot scope securely and go practise now Feel free to comment
  3. If the sights are not screwed to the slide, you're gonna have to grind. Here's my example... It's not finished, but the part you're in is almost done.
  4. This sounded sarcastic. IPSC and Tactical shooting are completely different. If you try tactical shooting in IPSC competitions, you will definately be last with extremely long timing.
  5. As it is only the beginning, I can post only some footage from the first Airsoft IPSC competitions and the first trainings. Here is one of the first trainings: http://videogaga.one.lt/video?id=opdturneinqdhurtvp there are TONS of failures (that was the reason we took this video - to learn from our mistakes). this is the first ever Airsoft IPSC competition in Lithuania. This was held in order to attract shooters to try airsoft. However, a lot of time passed since these videos were taken. TTC (Tactical Training Centre) has moved to a hall that is much larger, much work was done. Shooters have improved their skills / equipment significantly. We have had one more Airsoft IPSC competition (i only have photos from it: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=53449&id=166968263318271&ref=mf ) What do you mean "professional airsofter"? Our trainers shoot firearms and they work more with tactical shooting (this is way more complicated than sports shooting). They use their skills in their everyday work. We are adapting their skills to our needs I promise to capture more videos, if you are interested Another small Airsoft IPSC competition in Lithuania is coming soon (february 27). There are quite a lot of people interested in Airsoft IPSC in Lithuania. However, only a few shoot well - but that's why the trainings are held Something like you do in your video, is also being worked at
  6. Very nice The same (and, of course, more) is happening in Lithuania, Tactical Training Centre, where people can come and be trained by professionals
  7. I use both Marui and WE magazines. Both are the same, valves are the only difference. Had NO big problems with any of the magazines. Just know what to do if they start leaking - take apart, lubricate, tighten. That's all you need in most cases.
  8. Simply take apart the magazine, spray silicon oil everywhere and reassemble it then. Be sure to tighten all the valves and screws. And leave a bit of gas always
  9. That's a nice link, lots of good ideas there for a beginner. I've found several, too These guys are quite clever. But still, I wouldn't give my gun to anyone to fix it Some people bring their guns for me to fix them I just wonder, what parts usually wear out. Airsoft pistol shooting in Lithuania is quite new, so not all problems are solved, but I'm working on them It's just a little hard when you have to pay a lot for a part and wait for 2 months for it to reach you. So it's better to be sure about the part
  10. Well, I don't know what are these "BAM guys", I fix my guns myself My KJW Hi-Capa has new trigger internals, new springs (all of them), and is sold already. I just bought a WE/CQB Hi-Capa dragon, slayed it, put all the necessary internals into my old KJW, and bought steel internals for my little Dragon. It's gonna be, I guess, the most reliable airsoft pistol in Lithuania, when I finish tuning it I just like to take care of my guns myslef, try to guess which part failed and fix it or replace it
  11. Oh, this is FAR FAR from "best" I bought it, too. I didn't like it. Now the internals are 90% tuned (did not touch barrel/hop up), and it is being tuned externally... And even then it's not going to be "best" The first thing I hated in this pistol was the trigger - it was hard to shoot fast.
  12. Is it enough to use 2 screws to tighten your sight mount? When I finish my project with a WE/CQB Hi-Capa Dragon, I'll post a picture in the forum - I use 5 screws and still am worried about it
  13. Thanks I use airsoft for training and shooting IPSC Might get a firearm one day, but now I like the variety of places I can use airsoft. IPSC with airsoft guns is becoming popular in Lithuania, and that makes me happy Besides shooting airsoft, I shoot airguns (Field Target), ideal when you want to relax and leave the running and shooting quickly for a while O, ir lietuviško teksto matau šaunumėlis
  14. Hi I'm new in the forum, but not quite new in airsoft shooting Hoping to find gas blowback airsoft fans here
  15. Hello. I wonder, how many BBs can you shoot until your airsoft pistol breaks down? I have several guns. The first was ASG/KWA Glock 17, this lasted quite a while, don't even remember the amount of shots it made before it broke. But that is more than 20 000 shots using green gas. Then I bought KJW KP-0506 Hi-Capa, that was made to handle the pressure of CO2 - got 1 green gas mag, 1 CO2 mag. Never used CO2, traded that mag for another green gas mag. Used R404A gas (also known as Red Gas). First problems appeared when about 12 500 BBs were shot - a trigger disconnector broke. Replaced it, then after 2 000 more shots hammer/sear hooks worn out completely (the pistol started shooting full auto). As I'm going to stick with the Hi-Capa's, I got a question: What would you do if your trigger internals break / wear out? Would you buy standard zinc alloy parts or would you go for more expensive steel ones? By the way, I use Red Gas, because the temperature I shoot in is from 6 C to 15 C (rarely more)
