  1. I agree with KSH. I have a couple of 550s and one 1050. Selling one of the 550s to add a second 1050. I don't have a lot of time to reload so like to maximize the time that I do have. Learning on the 550 is much easier than on the 1050. Simpler to understand and maintain. Once you get that down and start shooting more volume you may want to step up to a higher volume (case feeder, bullet feeder) machine. Then again, maybe not. The 550 will do everything that you need it to do, just not as fast or efficiently as the other two.
  2. I have loaded and shot thousands of Zeros and MGs and both work equally well for me.
  3. I've never worried about it and thousands of rounds later I still don't. If I was shooting for long range accuracy it might be a little different story.
  4. There is actualy a special pair of scissors made just for that, they are electric and seal the end as they cut. I have also dropped belts off at the Kobbler and for $6 you get a professional job.
  5. I am a big fan of the VV powders. They meter well and in my experience burn much cleaner than the myriad of other powders that I have used. If you can get over the expense you will be very happy with the powder.
  6. I agree with Blue Eye, How does it get any easier than with the RF100? Total time away from reloading must be about 30 seconds. How long does it take to manually load a tube while you are not doing anything else?
  7. So what should be done with the current (older / lower) canalured bullets? The solution is to re-order new MG 55g bullets with the new higher cannelure. The old cannelure could not be used and loaded to proper OAL spec. I had them re-design them so that they could be loaded to spec. They have them ready to ship as of today.
