Im not a nutritionist, but when sweating/drinking lots of water I supplement with a pint or 2 of Smartwater over. the day and feel like it helps washed out feeling. No sugar, no synthetic sweeteners, but has electrolytes. K

I will add a little more data to this thread. The load is a 147 Bayou at 1.125 COAL. Winnie primers and mixed brass. Crimps .376 (really only as much as needed to pass a chamber check reliably). 3.42 gr of RS Competition calculated by weighing 10 thrown charges from Dillon 550. String 3 is 5" RIA 1911; String 4 is Xdm 5.25. Accuracy was acceptable but not steller. It seems my guns like the 135s better than 147s. Primer edges were still round, but cases came out clean. I punch the primers out - I try to decap after a range trip or match, and then throw brass in a plastic coffee can. When I have 3-4 full I will tumble and dry in the sun over a weekend day or 2 while doing yardwork, chores etc. I can usually tumble 3-4K in a day (9mm mostly). Brass dries pretty fast in FL sun if you stir it up every 20 minutes or so.

I have gotten (barely) sub 5 over 20 rounds with SR7625, and 6-7 with Solo. All behind a Bayou 135, WSP primer and Win brass. All loaded on a 550, not hand thrown. That 7625 really runs good in the Dillon 550. This was shot out of an M&P Pro and clocked using a Shootin Chrony. Too bad 7625 is going away, really like that powder.

I too wet tumble and have a thing about clean primer pockets. How long between cleaning bras and loading brass? Note that the primer ignition hole can stay filled with water for quite some time after the outside and inside are dry (as in days). I'm betting the hole had water in it and either damped the primer material, the charge directly at the ignition hole, or both. Apply heat or dessicant always when wet tumbling, or give your brass several days to dry, spread out, agitated regularly, and put in a dry environment (indoors). K

Try using a backer - makes a big difference.

Unless you have proven to yourself otherwise, they may also will not cycle an autoloader reliably.....

I know you didn't ask, but always use a single load device when appropriate. Seems like many of the sf problems you hear of are because of someone closing the bolt on a free round placed directly in the chamber. Oh I have always used Win LR primers and no issues to date. I have chambered/ejected dozens of live rounds just to inspect and no marks ever found on the primer.

local preference is to nail down big blue tarps with a couple of spikes used to pin in target stands, then use one of those hamster cage thingies to pick up and put in a 5gal bucket. Everybody that reloads always goes home with more than they brung because of the folks that shoot factory. Really efficient.

to not introduce myself. Hanging around here for about a year and have made a few posts, but never in this forum. I am relatively new to pistol games, shooting a few USPSA L3 matches per year, some steel also. I aspire to get better, but don't have much (any?) time to practice, am solidly middle age, and have the reflexes and eyesight to go with that.
