Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Great picks, I had over 9000 rounds thru mine but i cleaned mine every 500 rounds or so, I had 2 failures is 2 years, the trigger failed to reset twice and those were the only failures 1 was around 3900 rounds and again around 7000. I sold it for what i paid for it, but really liked the gun and may pick up another some day.
  2. Interesting post, I too would like to know if there are any with a slightly larger pad that are drop in. hope someone has some info thanks.
  3. Quick question, does the main spring affect trigger pull weight? Mine fells O.K but wouldn't mind a little lighter pull. A quick spring change out would be great, the gun is pretty new maybe 500 rounds now, should I just see if it lightens up a bit on its own, its just a range gun so not looking for too much modification. Thanks.
  4. Well thats a pretty good answer! LOL
  5. Been there a few times, my brother is a member and we use to go to sportsmans club weekly before they moved from Aurora to Waterman, its a bit of a drive but a really nice place, alot of potential, I guess since Chicago didn't get the olympics progress has kind of come to a standstill there. I would join but like I said its kind of far for me, I'm basically on the Naperville border of Aurora and it seems a little expensive since the move to waterman.
  6. Thanks sparky, would you happen to be a fellow electrician?
  7. My ffl just told me about OPSC the other day, I guess I missed a meeting yesterday, he was trying to get me sponsered. I'm in Aurora and for some reason never new about the club, thanks for the heads up though! And thanks to all for the warm welcome.
  8. Yep, its www.nanolube.com. look thru it and check out the testemonials. I bought the 10w pen, they have added a nano grease since I was last on their site, might be worth looking into. A little pricey but like I said a little seems to go a long way.
  9. Its alot more than snug, I cant get it to budge by hand, I have to actually put a clothe over the barrel and tap it with a hammer to get the bushing off.
  10. Has anybody else tried Nano Oil(by StClaire)? Just got some and it has really worked great, just a few drops go a long way, I have a 14 year old Para that has gotten pretty beat up over the years and has been giving my problems, I tried this new stuff and the gun was 100% last time out, now I have only used it for a short time but it seems to make my Spartan very smooth. Anybody been using it for a while let me know what you think, like I said I've only used for a couple of range outings so far, and it was only about 30 deg. out last time.
  11. I also bought the Wilson video and found it very helpful, I would recommend it. The clip from the AGI video above seems to be along the same lines as Wilsons. Probably wont go wrong either way. Good Luck!
  12. That sounds like a perfect fit. Get a bushing wrench if it's that tight. And be glad that it's that tight. I use a bushing wrench, the problem isn't turning it, the problem is getting it off and then back on, after it is turned the wrench is useless.
  13. Just wanted to say hi from Illinois, right outside of Chicago so not a really gun friendly area I have 13 handguns, a carbine 2 rifles and a shotgun. Gotta keep it quiet or the neighbors will probably freak out.LOL
