The only things I haven't replaced (yet) is the sear and hammer. Henning supplied all the internals and magwell, and the Scales 2.0 grips are from SSI. I found it's important to keep the hammer and plunger spring pockets clean. Gunk can build up in them and cause problems like light primer strikes.

Some people are just naturally faster than others too. It depends on the mix of slow and fast twitch muscle fibers, exactly where the muscles are attached to your skeleton (for leverage) and other factors. I just polished the controls on my limited. I still need to finish the slide release. A rotoloc scotch brite pad in the drill will clean up the tool marks, then polish again on the bench mount buffer. The safety and mag release turned out real nice. I considered sanding down the grips on my limited, but wanted to keep them in oem condition. There aren't many options for grips. Henning's and Shooting Sports Innovations are the most popuelar. I opted for SSI's to save some $. I sure like them. If you'll be wanting to shoot limited, you can run extended mags. I bought some new ones direct from EAA and got extension kits from Henning. I'll suggest the tanfoglio elite limited too. I haven't made any mods to mine yet though. One thing it has over a 1911/2011 is that the barrel sits lower so there is less muzzle flip. They are also much cheaper than a 2011 but will compete with guns that cost much more.

Thanks for picking up the ball for me. Got busy and couldn't check back in till now. The farthest shot I've had at a match was a little over 300 yds. A 7x scope will handle that just fine.
