    CZC multi optic cut

Thnx. I just had a DPP start losing the dot after 2200 on a Glock, and I have a buddy who's had multiple units go down. Trying to find a common denominator.

    CZC multi optic cut

How many rounds have you had through it so far?
  3. I've been using Stock 2 and Shadow 2 for some time now so I am used to weight and haven't considered it to be a hindrance. I don't feel that they are too heavy. However, recently I switched to a Glock because I wanted to shoot CO and that's what I have set up for CO. I fairly instantly noted faster draw. My transitions are not necessarily faster but I overswing less. Made me think if these heavier guns do create some issues that are not readily recognized by at least some users.
  4. Follow up: NDZ had the lowest price for OEM extended button so I picked up a couple. Since the NDZ own part, the aluminum one, was only 15 bucks, I got one too. Installed it and couldn't go through 100 rounds without mags dropping. It looks like interference with a support hand because when I shoot left handed, nothing drops. However, for a couple of reasons I that the part itself doesn't hold the mag too well. OEM extended parts work well. Would not recommend the NDZ mag catch.

    Langdon Elite LTT

Hard to say without handing one. I don't remember the small details how the two are different. I think LTT gun uses that Beretta universal G conversion kit that I do not like aesthetically and prefer the original G levers that Wilson uses. I think it will ultimately come down to trigger and sights. I had a WC Brig Tac and trigger out of box was atrocious. I have a WC Cent Tac with Wilson action tune and has a pretty good trigger. I personally wouldn't buy an LTT or WC without having a trigger job done. I am not aware of any sight options that are both good and have something narrower than .150 rear notch. .110 wide front sight inside of .150 rear notch bothered me when I shot the Elite II. I went a different route and sent a frankengun Beretta that I already had to LTT for a full workover. Trigger job, all around by-hand magwell, trigger guard undercut, dehorn, my choice of a front sight. It will be expensive, I hope it is also good.
  6. Thanks, man. I've not been in a Glock world for some time, don't know if anything popped up since I had a Gen4 17 with FBI release. Found $60 "mag release system" from Rainier, almost bought it just to see wth. Got a couple of FBI extended units for 4 bucks each coming instead.
  7. I am playing with a Glock these days, mine is Gen 5. After several dry and live fire sessions I realized that I have been totally spoiled by my Tanfo and CZ mag release buttons. Glock's is a big one but a little flat. I'd like it to stick out a bit more. What are my options?
  8. I admit I haven't. Looked at their sites and didn't see it listed though PM sent
  9. I am probably confused with all these new rules. It is legal for CO to cut through slide sides to lighten it up, but not legal to mill an optic pocket on a production-approved Shadow 2?
  10. I am not familiar with the CZC cut and I am considering getting my sh2 CO ready. Can someone point out what specific part of cutting makes it legal or not?
  11. There are significant speculations about physical dimensions of this unit. It is already on Aimpoint website and if the specs are correct, its visual aperture is prohibitively small for any kind of action shooting. However, people keep talking that the specs on AP's site are incorrect. Remains to be seen.
  12. You probably can sell it for extra to the carry optics crowd. Less to remove to make a weight limit. At any rate, feels like it could be within the variability margins.

    shadow 2 crack?

Is that your practice gun or match gun?

    New Shadow 2 stoppages

Didn't realize you got a second one and it is doing the same. Sounds like FTE, E for extract. I doubt it is ammo, especially if it is doing it with 124 AE and 147 Lawman. This sounds very similar to what I had with a Tanfo, and I never truly figured it out. Since your very first Shadow 2 that I am shooting trouble free has a lighter recoil spring, maybe do that first and see if it helps for a more forceful contact with ejector?

    P-09 Limited build

One dude locally does just that, P-09 .40 for a Limited. Don't know if he is a member here to advice your directly. He does "compete like you carry thing", shooting from a concealment, appendix holster. He does pretty wll. Last match I noticed he had a light on his P09, don't know if functional or for weight. Funny thing is that during that match both of his guns went down. The front sight (Dawson, I think) either broke of flew off on his primary, and the backup gun broke a firing pin retaining plate on the next stage. Neither is out of expectation but made me wonder if P09 is good to withstand the major pf loads for long.
  16. It was a solid pin, with left side end looking like staked / mushroomed. I've another follow up. It is almost ironic. I had a short live session today, not more than 150 rounds through this gun. It ran normally. Came home and, being determined not to allow this to happen again, sprayed the gun with Gunscrubber, cleaned it, oiled it as usual, etc. Later tonight decided to dry fire. Same thing again, sluggish reset, friction sound. I knew it couldn't have been dirt. Took my oil bottle and lubed the hell out of insides, especially over both sides of a trigger bar. Fixed it in 1 second. Now I think it wasn't dirt, it was that stupid Gunscrubber that dried out and gunked it up. I came out with a [gratifying] conclusion that I should just stop cleaning my guns. The downside was dry firing a gun with oil seeping out of every hole.
  17. Put that thing together after cleaning, all is well, works as it is supposed to. Reinstalled the factory spring just to see how long it is going to last. Mildly peeved that 7K of factory Speer Lawman ammo is enough to gunk up trigger bar from resetting, especially that I do spray it with Gunscrubber and scrub it a bit regularly. The original pin was unusable to reinstall as it seems like CZ Custom not just staked it but mushroomed it. Will keep an eye on that Cajun pin, thanks for heads up.
  18. Thanks. I haven't put it back yet after cleaning, waiting on that pin and some extra springs to come. Thanks for heads up on those pins. I am going to give the cgw pin a shot keeping an eye on it.
  19. In today's dry fire I noticed a sluggish reset on my Shadow 2. Mostly failure to complete the last part of return in DA. It was also associated with a mild metal on metal friction sound when pulling the trigger in simulated SA. Gun has about 7K rounds live, I don't know how much dry fire. It is a CZ Custom worked over Shadow 2 with a trigger job etc. Naturally, I thought that the trigger return spring was done with but when I pulled it out, it was intact. I pulled out trigger / trigger bar too and haven't found anything off. Bunch of dirt though. I am thinking to write it off on a dirt but while I am at it: - Is there anything else I need to check out? - I am probably going to replace the return spring anyway since I have it out. Is there a specific spring I need to look for (CZC, Cajun etc), and who are the vendors besides those two? - Driving the trs pin out was a pain; broke yet another punch. Is Cajun free float pin still something that's recommended for CZs instead of factory pin, or there are other options? Thanks for advice in advance.

    shadow 2 crack?

Indeed. Seems like it is hard to machine too, since Tanfoglio seems incapable of machining their pistols to consistent dimensions and tolerances. I have two of them here collecting dust because of it. So far between me and my Shadow 2 there is only one crack, and that one is in my ...
  21. Pics of VP9L OR from IWA '18 have been posted elsewhere. Remains to be seen if those will remain just the pics, or it does get over here.
  22. I don't see why not. Beretta triggers are not expensive if you mess one up. One question is if JB Weld would be banging up the frame at a contact point, but I don't know one way or another. The one that I posted a link to is made from a polymer. You could contact Josh at Allegheny Gun Works and see if he still makes them.
  23. look carefully at a rear surface of a trigger on a photo midway through the page. Limits how far back trigger can travel. I had one and didn't find it too beneficial. https://pistol-forum.com/showthread.php?5018-Allegheny-Gun-Works-92FS-gt-92G-conversion/page2
  24. I shoot production and I don't care one way or another.
