  1. I have to agree with Greg. I shoot a Gravitas Tactical 1911 in 9mm. I shoot with Greg and the owners of the company at most of the matches, and anyone who would like to try it out just get with me. I am by no means a shooter who sets the world on fire, but I have so much fun shooting a great pistol with these great guys. I've been told 9mm 1911's can be finicky, but the only hiccups I've had with this gun have been operator induced, usually not seating a mag. These guys have a true love for the sport, are always willing to help, and produce a fantastic pistol. I give them two snaps with a twist.
  2. I use it on al my M&P's and my DD M4. strip it, warm parts with heat gun.apply paste, let it dry then wipe it off. Even though the gun looks dry , in use it will heat up and actually lubricate it. Having said that i will still lube it with the liquid when it gets dry. Occasionally ill reapply paste at certain intervals, well, just because ive got nothing else to do with it. As stated above smells great

  4. I'm curious as well, but also would like to know if anyone has cooked up any load recipes with n320 ? I'll be using 147 gr MG.
  5. They did a trigger job on my XD-40 and I'm waiting on my 5.25 to be shipped. Great customer service, always ready to answer questions, and great work.
  6. Well I can answer my own question. Shortly after i made the original post, a friend approached mw with a decent deal on a Bedell 6 inch limited gun. So after deciding I was going to stick with my xd, I suddenly found myself scrambling to come up with the needed bucks. The day came and i went and picked up my new prize..soon as i got home i shot it and was very impressed...i put my xd aside and the next few days just kept practicing (live and dry) concentrating on getting back to fundamentals...well time went by and the money i spent on the gun became needed elsewhere. So I went out with both guns and told myself if the race gun improve me enough over the xd significantly...ill find something else to get rid of. well after 200 rds... long story short, the race gun is headed south and ill be shooting my xd in the next match.(kudos to Springer Precision. The work they did on my xd is phenomenal). .
  7. I want to thank you guys for your input. I've decided to just practice and be the best i can be with what ive got. I may just upgrade my holster(using a deactivated SERPA) and have fun. Having said that i still may piece together parts for the dream gun when theyre at a good price.....Just in case I found a cr holster for the xd at shooters connection, i may just go ahead and grab that.. I have to say that this is one of the most informative and helpful forums Ive ever been a part of. I thank you all in advance for the help im sure I'll get in the future.
  8. Honestly I really dont think I should at this point. I mean I can't outshoot what im using. Just wondering if by some miracle I got really taleneted with my XD, is there a point where it holds you back. Just curiousity for the most part and interested in getting opinions. (and since my wife isnt looking I'm just looking for an excuse to build a 6 inch STI)
  9. I currently am a new USPSA shooter in Limited 10. Springfield XD .40 Tactical with a Springer precision trigger. First I'd like to state that I know I'm not close to outshooting this weapon. My question is at what point is it time to make a move to a 1911 style ? This is more just out of curiousity to get peoples opinions. I know I need to practice etc etc. I love my xd, just curious as to if there is a point it would hold a shooter back. Yes Im bored.
