MagPul don't make a 10rd G17/34 mag they must be pinned, and when the problems begin.
Stick with the Glock 10 rd mags and you won't have problems.
I have 1 G17 mag, a Gen 1, that works perfectly but doesn't drop.
-
No one has mentioned Comp Tac.
We have 3 of them and they are perfect.
YMMV.

I have 28 G17/34 mags and most of them are 20+ years old. They run perfectly and still have the original springs. All stock. All used for competition by my Wife and me.

Looking at some of the numbers, I see people who don't recheck their load over a chrony and who play close to the line will be DQ'd because of the ammo.
I'm not into porting but I say fill yer boots.
As Farmer said no before velocities prior to porting. This almost makes the test invalid.

While this isn't a Glock but a Beretta 96D Centurian in 40S&W belonging to a Police Department I was the Armourer for.
The importance of lube or is this too much? I asked the Officer what the lube was and why this much. The response was the lube is fishing reel grease and his Dad (a sergeant with the Department) told that's the way to lube it.
I took me a least an hour to get the grease out and ultrasonic clean twice.
I instructed him how to lube a pistol and told his Dad that he was wrong, I was asked why and said if the temperature was -15C or below, the gun would freeze and not operate when needed.

Breakfree CLP for every gun I own.

You will need to measure the width of the screw, thickness of the slot so9 that you can order the correct bits.

I purchased an STI Trojan 45ACP in 2007 and put the Dawson F/O front sight on it.
I was expecting to replace it in about 2 years. It's shot through out he summer, clean in an ultrasonic cleaner and it's still going strong, albeit a little lighter.
It's red and I prefer green.

Look at Comp Tac holsters.

Sure, but that looks like a measurement taken from the inner edge of the belt and not necessarily from the shooter's body.
Which is fine, but as always... if that's what they wanted then they could have just said that.
A well written rulebook would cure all/most of their issues.

IDPA got itself into the current inconsistent "well ask up the authority ladder, in rung order" by abandoning the "ask HQ for a clarification" system of several years back. The significant clarifications were posted online on the HQ site, for all to see. Consistency was possible under this method, which IDPA HQ chose to abandon.
That was when Robert Ray was at the Berryville HQ, then they had the purge - giving everyone there their walking papers (Joyce didn't have the guts to do it herself and had one of her minions do it).
With Robert you gat an answer if he had one and of not he got back to you.
Call your AC isn't working, you have 50 AC, SC and IPOC's and that many possible different answers.

Forgotten is the outside temperature, they will be cold with the temperature drops.

All I did with mine was to remove the hammer spur, an easy job.

IDPA is the most inconsistent sport when it comes to rules. With the BS at worlds to every sanctioned match. Letting JJ muzzle himself one year and file down a safety to fit in the box. I guarantee you that depending on what match you shoot you can get DQed for the grip safety. The AC's don't even talk to each other about the rules that get questioned. Having a letter from one doesn't mean jack to the AC who just upheld the DQ for pin grip safety. Its the top of this pyramid that is defunct. Refusal to fix anything in the rules and make them clear and concise with mysterious rulings across the country that only apply to that days match. Its a joke.
The Dr, Instructor, CSO who lost control of his gun tried to catch it and that's when he shot himself.
He broke the cardinal rule, if the gun get loose let it go and not try to catch it.

I did not, and not surprised at all.
I know the thread pissed them off but it really helps to see what people across the country are seeing at matches. HQ doesn't like that because they know things aren't don't consistently.
So true.
I believe that things were much better a year or two before the tiger teams. That's when the game got FUBAR'ed.

My AC told me the same and then said HQ was pissed about my post and wanted me to remove it.
I hope that you did not!

Are you surprised? I'm certainly not.

Looking at its width, it may catch on the belt/equipment on the draw.
I think that it's too wide.

I'll delete Scrap Iron (Snap On) from the list. They are junk. As a mechanic for over 40 years, too many rounded and caused more problems.
Bondus is the way to go by far.

I installed one in a Gen3 (the complete kit) and it didn't fire. I reinstalled the old parts and replaced then 1 at a time springs first, so far all good. When II got to the trigger it quit firing. Took all of the parts out, making the gun stock and got rid of the kit.
Not impressed.

I didn't realize they'd removed the 3/4" dowel rule for distance from belt.
I agree that there is so much subjectivity in the rules it's ridiculous.
There has been since the Tiger Teams and it has gotten worse.

I just about fell over when I saw this.
Too funny!

My Wife runs Comp Tac Internationals in that application.
I have a Gen 1 Comp Tac that works too.

Ref:
8.5.1.1 Must be suitable for all day concealed carry or duty style holsters and worn on each stage regardless of the start position.
IDPA don't abide by their own rules or founding concepts, I did see that they change the concepts a few years ago.
They haven't written a rulebook that makes sense, they keep changing it, plus they are using writers that haven' a clue how to write a rulebook.
You get what you pay for.
AFAIC it's all about money.

You could carry a can of compressed air to blow them clean.
FWIW I have about 27 speedloaders (Safariland) and have never cleaned them in 35 years - no issues. Been dropped in sand, gravel and grass.

Most of them, if not all, are/were nothing more than pecan pickers.
Screwdrivers for Modern Smith & Wesson side plates

I have this set and they don't fit the S&W screws, either too big or too small.
I use mine mainly for scope rings and bases.
I forgot to add that I have this set and has the correct bits.
