I am also considering the 10 rnd version  because I like the feel of my Shield a lot and it's a single stack also.  Any reasons I should reconsider this?  I will be shooting IDPA only.

The 10 round magazine has no effect on the size of the pistol.  Same gun, just a limited number of rounds in the magazine.  As stated above, if you are not in a state that has banned high capacity magazines, buy the pistol with the 17 round magazine.

What's the difference between the old style powder measure and the new style powder measure?  Trying to figure out which versions I have.

The powder measure seems loose on one of my 1050's...  I replaced the plastic collar sleeve (#13845) with a new one, but it didn't seem to make any difference.

I found this pic online. Newer failsafe on the left, old style on the right.  Old style used springs to return the charge bar.

I recently had two pistols done in hard chrome by Techplate. Matte:

    and polished:

I really think they turned out nice although I would do satin instead of polished next time so fingerprints wouldn't stand out so much.

I need to send my S3 out to get refinished.  Do you just get the frame and slide done or do you have all the parts refinished?

  4. I had the front leg on the ejector break on my Range Officer. If the pin will spin in the hole try a rare earth magnet to pull it out. I tried a bunch of different things with no luck. I happened to have one of these from a goody bag and it pulled the broken leg right out of the frame.

  5. When I first installed the one piece sear and an Extreme firing pin , the original firing pin block worked fine. The last few times that I have checked it, the pin would pass the block. Tonight the original firing pin block measured .494". The extended firing pin block measured .508" and is stopping the pin.

  6. I picked up my Sig. When I sent it away it was showing between 7.5 to 8 lb pull. It is pulling at 3.5lbs after being worked over by Grayguns. Huge improvement while dryfiring.
