  1. Thanks to Jack and the Space City crew! It was a great match.
  2. I just got a pair of these for Christmas and can't wait to try them out.
  3. Well, we polished the ramp more and just a tad on the top of the inside of the barrel. I loaded some 155 gr bayou bullets to 1.125" and we only had one jam out of 170 rounds. I need to order a lighter spring from the sound of it. I think the one I have in it is a 14#.
  4. My son swapped over, but had not been shooting very long. It seemed to help him with his accuracy. It took a couple of weeks for his grip to strengthen to what it needed to be and of course learn how to do mag changes. He has never mentioned swapping back.
  5. Welcome! Tons of information here to learn from.
  6. The bayou bullets are the way to go for a lead bullet. They are coated, don't smoke, and leave nothing in the barrel. I've shot unique, clays, 320, 340, 231, hp38, wst, and Wsf with them. You get a little powder smoke sometimes, but those are the only bullets I'll shoot as long as they are available.
  7. Welcome to the forum. Sounds like you are already addicted!
  8. Well, the remaining Montana gold rounds ran without a hitch. I guess I'll have to switch to those or something similar with a rounded nose. Anyone have any suggestions that I might try a few of before going all out?
  9. It seems that the Dykem also makes it through the tumbler without coming off so that you don't have to mark it again.
  10. I couldn't find what I wanted at home depot, but I picked up a plastic blue knob at my local gun shop. It is much easier than the wrench and was only $4
  11. I have used and still use a light spatter from a spray can of machinist layout die. It shows clearly with the case laying on it's side. I haven't had any feed issues running it through my STI. It looks kind of ugly, but I haven't seen anyone else's brass that looks like mine.
  12. My son just ran 35 of the montana golds through it with no issues. I guess I'll load the other 65 and see how they run tomorrow.
  13. Well, that would be just great. I guess I'll try a few different bullets, maybe a lighter spring first. If that won't get it, I suppose the barrel would be next. Any suggestions?
  14. You might be on to something there. I was thinking that maybe the spring we had in there was getting weak, but too strong actually makes more sense.
  15. Mags are the same that we run in the limited setup, but not new with the exception of 1. The new mag will not run any better than the other four.
  16. I guess I should mention that we have a 35 setup for limited that runs the same load perfectly. Only difference is a stock barrel.
  17. My son is trying to get his 35 to run 100%, but it's having some feed issues. He has a lone wolf 6 port barrel and is shooting 180 gr bayou bullets. It seems that the rounds that don't feed are jamming into the top of the barrel. I just picked up a few Montana gold 180 round nose and am going to try that to see if it helps. Anyone have any similar issues?
  18. I have to check my schedule, but I am going to try to be at this one as well.
  19. Great match to attend for those who missed it. This is a must attend match if you are in the general area. Many thanks are extended to the staff and sponsors.
  20. Counting down the last few hours, we will be heading out this afternoon. Tick, Tock, tick, Tock.......
  21. Doesn't the difference in colors train you to mentally see the white instead of center of target? I would probably start shooting at no-shoots just because of my practice routine.
  22. You're already on it. Too true. Got squadded a little while ago, now I'm really ready.
