  1. That's what I wear.... had one fail and they replaced it under the 1 year warranty. No questions asked. BC
  2. We have used the Speed Timer 3000 (the yellow ones) for years. We found that they are sensitive enough to pick up the shots from PCC division. Rugged, small profile, integrated clip on the back and a very clear display. Most of them are the non-RF design but we do have one that interfaces to the "big" display board. They use replaceable 9V transistor batteries. BC
  3. Stripe works very well. There is a charge per transaction but what they provide is well worth it. You setup your bank account and routing numbers and as stated, the keys are generated by Stripe. Once you pass the test deposits, you go live. You are also notified of your first "real" deposit. You can download all deposits with every detail to Excel. The Board of Directors is delighted with the results. BC
  4. Out of the 200 slots in the match, we are down to 45 as of today. Make sure you register before the price increase on May 1st. The nine stages have been approved by DNROI Troy McManus and Range Master Gary Johnson. They will be published well in advance of the match.
  5. When they built the I-696 freeway through the Detroit suburbs, they needed to dump the dirt somewhere. We got it. This Google Earth picture was taken from Dequindre road so it doesn't really show the height and it only shows part of 1 berm. For perspective, there is actually someone walking in the picture. The berm starts about a quarter mile away. What is shown are the trap fields, not the pistol range. That's on the other side of the berm. BC
  6. We have grass covering a majority of the range. The legs are 30" tall so the carbines are at 36". The photos are a bit misleading. Thanks for the suggestion. BC
  7. Same here. Montana Gold 147's CMJ with the flat meplat covered base. BC
  8. We are in the process of building carbine racks for each outdoor bay. Prototype pictures below. The legs are 4x4 and the boards are 2x12. We have a significant amount of wind on our range as the 65' tall berms act like reverse chimneys, pulling the wind down to the range floor. We didn't want the carbine racks to be blown over so they are build like a tank. It takes two people to move it around.... empty. They are going to be placed up against the side berm on the bays. We borrowed the design from the Livingston Gun Club as they have been shooting 3-gun for years and just beefed up the materials. The support boards are 20" apart so the SBR's will still fit with about a 2" hangover on each end. If anyone wants drawings with dimensions, they are available in a SketchUp file. Send me a PM with your e-mail address. This is the 3 gun cart from Rugged Gear used to transport the PCC. The carbine is angled toward the ground and held in place by two supports with a Velcro strap over each. BC

  10. I use the same one. It has Molle straps to attach other stuff. Very handy. BC
  11. Correct. It has an additional buffer spring in it so if you are running a hydraulic style buffer, it might not work. Odin shows that they are currently out of stock. Google search turned up one in red at one of their distributors.
  12. Here is the primary and backup carbines.
  13. Made a couple of changes to the carbine since it arrived. Will be taking it to the range on Saturday to see if the front grip has to be moved. Wanted it to match the backup rifle shown in the other post dated December 23rd on Page 3 of this thread. The Generation 2 magwell from bmiller fit perfectly. Did a little Dremel work on the inside to smooth it out a bit before anodizing. Odin Works Zulu stock. Crimson Trace green laser (CMR-206) and a 10" handguard. The original 16" will be for sale shortly.
  14. Absolutely.... I sent him the tracking number and it was scheduled to arrive at his business but he was going to be out of town for most of that day. He notified UPS to hold it at the Livonia distribution center and he drove there to pick it up. His transfer fee is far less than anyone else in the area. Wish all the businesses that I deal with were this customer focused. Foregrip is a Tyrant Designs HALO Minivert weighing in at 2.5 ounces. Have a Strike Industries ambi safety and a magwell on the way. The Strike is easier to knock on with their extended design. Both the safety and magwell are on the other carbine and it's preferred to have matching controls on the two. BC
  15. My FFL dealer received mine and brought it to the range on Saturday. Mounted the Sig Sauer Romeo 4 optic and swapped out the trigger for a Timmney. Shoots very well. Adding a Strike Industries safety switch and a foregrip.
  16. Done.... e-mail went out 9:40 PM Eastern on 12/1/17.
  17. After taking the time to fill out Form C, I got an error message "HTTP ERROR 500" Did the Michigan Sectional Championship form upload successfully?
  18. Mark your calendars for the third weekend in June as the Michigan Section Championship will be hosted by Detroit Sportsmen's Congress. There will be nine stages and chronograph with an entry fee of $125.00. Registration will be handled on Practiscore and we will have a squad size limit of 10 on eight squads to keep things moving. Additional details to follow as we continue to develop the stage designs, hotel accommodations, sponsors and website updates at Motor City Speed Shooters If you are interested in working the match and are a certified NROI range officer, you shoot the match for free if you work all the scheduled days. If you can only work some of the match dates, you will receive a discounted match fee. Lunch will also be provided for all staff and hotel accommodations if you are coming in from out of town.
  19. Yep.... and have been shooting for 20+ years... Was trying out Carry Optics and just finished up shooting 6 plates on a plate rack, concentrating on the reload and moving to the next position... blew right by it. Cost me 1st place in that division. BC
  20. 6.7 grains of Winchester AutoComp 124 grain Montana Gold Jacketed Hollow Point .3750 crimp Winchester Small Rifle primers Various brass but use new Starline for matches COL of 1.155 5" SV with Cheely Ti Comp 1365 to 1380 feet per second for a 169 to 171 power factor. Recommend bumping it up by at least a tenth of a grain to 6.8 to allow for a slow chronograph at major matches. YMMV.
  21. Will be test driving this load with some round nose Zero 115's in my Olympic Arms carbine. Will let you know how it runs. BC
  22. The key is to have all the different types of targets that you want to use in your stages already loaded into one stage, it's called "All Targets". Bring up SketchUp and open that file. Open SketchUp again by holding down the Shift key and clicking on the icon. Then open the "blank" stage to develop the design. From the "All Targets" stage, highlight a target and then cut it using CTRL C, go over to your blank stage and use CTRL V to paste the target onto the stage. Repeat as necessary. BC
  23. Yes. Was shipped out to Mesa AZ and received on 2/12/16. Thanks for all of the feedback. BC
  24. Ok, ordered the "high" version of this gun from CZ Custom on February 10th to be milled for the Leupold DeltaPoint Pro. Return e-mail received indicating the gun had been pulled from inventory and tagged for sale to me. Now I understand it takes time for slide milling and my order was just placed in line with all the others but just wanted to figure out how long the wait might be. What was your experience with CZ Custom? Thanks, BC
  25. Glock 34 MOS with Leupold DeltaPoint Pro With the weight limit change from 35 oz up the 45 oz, looking at the CZ Shadow with the same optic. With a background in Open, the single action trigger appeal is one of the factors to be considered. BC
