147gr RMR Match, WSP, 3.2gr Alliant American Select, Avg 905fps, 133 PF, 40fps ES with mixed brass. 1.115 OAL. Shoots soft and clean.

RMR bullets. Not the cheapest but moly bullets are smokey, and plated bullets tumble out of my pistol. RMR are a very accurate quality bullet. For a penny or 2 per bullet I'll spend the extra money.

I ordered 6,000 9mm 147 Match from RMR Bullets Tuesday and got them Friday this week. Free shipping also.

I'm looking for a 147gr 9mm American select minor load.

RMR round nose vs RMR truncated cone (match winner)
ohsevenflhx replied to ysrracer's topic in 9mm/38 Caliber
I agree. They are the most accurate bullet I have loaded. -
I think I would try to change the battery first.
-
I tried the 13# and went with the 15#. No problems.

change the battery. Mine used to that when the battery got low.

I use 3.8gr of Alliant American Select with 124 RMR Match bullets. Very accurate and soft. 135 PF out of Walther SF. I keep several powders for different calibers but non are as accurate or soft as American Select.

I have broke the tip off of my striker with extensive dry fire. I have read other people have had the same thing happen also. I have also had several "experts" tell me no way does it hurt the striker, well it costs around 100$ and 2 week wait to fix this non problem.

This has been discussed extensively. The recoil spring is too strong. Cut a coil off of stock spring or go with a different setup... uncaptured or Springco.

I have several magazines set up like yours with Grams followers and springs. I have 2 of these magazine that have your same problem. I also haven't figured it out yet. They work fine loaded full but when I chamber one round then put these 2 in I get a jam same as you.

I told him the first stage that I was up next and the the shooting area should be mine. He agreed. Then he did it the next stage and I didn't say anything but firmly bumped him because I was doing my walk through and didn't really notice him (second request). Third stage guess what... there he is again, so now do I become the a_-hole?

This last weekend I ventured out of town because there were no local matches. I drove 2 hours to a range I've never shot at. It's a nice range and they had 5 good stages. My complaint is I was in the middle of a 12 person squad and when I was up next to shoot a M PCC shooter that was 2 shooters behind me always had the shooting area at every stage. I never had a private walk through before my turn at the match I'm a B Carry Optics from out of town and he was the local M shooter so obviously after the 3rd stage and me bumping into him I just gave up. I didn't realize how much this throws your game off.

No I don't use Canik magazines. Only Walther magazines.

What will become of the Q4 and 5 steel frames?
ohsevenflhx replied to BobRockefeller's topic in Walther
The Q5 Steel Frame seem popular to competition shooters somewhat like the Sig 320 X5 Legion. Not a popular or cheap gun for a weekend shooter but great for competition. -

I'm on my 4th set of Lok grips. I've tried Bogles and the brass grips. I have liked them all, but still wasn't getting that "feel" that I was looking for. So another 100$ spent for the Lok Palm Swell, I love them. This is what I've been looking for. I have a little larger hands, but not huge hands. These grips allow a good strong hand position, and a great weak hand position. They have a very aggressive texture that will leave impressions in your hands. My weak hand thumb pad and palm heal get great fitment with these grips.

Help with load data for RMR 147gr MW FP and RN in 9mm
ohsevenflhx replied to FlyNavyP3's topic in 9mm/38 Caliber
147 RMR FMJ truncated cone flat point MatchWinner with 2.8gr Alliant E3 OAL 1.120, 130 PF. Very accurate. -
<2" group with minor PF? - list your barrel and reload data
ohsevenflhx replied to Kenaxford's topic in 9mm/38 Caliber
Walther Q5 Match Steel Frame 5" barrel and 147 RMR FMJ truncated cone flat point MatchWinner with 2.8gr Alliant E3 OAL 1.120, 130 PF will give you 2" groups at 25 yards freestyle.....if you're steady. -
I use the dynamic trigger set from Walther but reinstalled the stock trigger spring. I was getting trigger freeze with the weaker trigger spring. When I installed the stronger trigger spring it gets the trigger reset faster and more sure feel for me.

Plated vs coated (if the same price)
ohsevenflhx replied to Nor-cal_Shooter's topic in 9mm/38 Caliber
Coated are accurate but smokey. Plated don't smoke but shoot larger groups and even tumble sometimes. FMJ no tumble or smoke and are accurate.
