I tumbled about 300 9mm rounds after loading and it seems about 1 out of five the primer goes off and I get a squib. Yes they have powder in them. I've never tumbled after loading since. Just bad luck? or has this happened to anyone else.
If given a choice with target position when shooting strong hand or weak hand is it better to shoot targets out to in, such as right hand shoot right to left and left hand shoot targets left to right. Or does it really matter.
I put a case feeder on my 550 and never did get it to run great. I have a 650 with a case feeder that runs flawlessly. I took the case feeder off the 550 and use it for my Case Size Roller now. It works flawlessly too. Like I said I tinkered and tinkered and never got the case feeder to work right with the 550. It takes less time to just hand load the brass into the 550.
When you compare the Shadow 2 to the Walther SF PPQ or PDP remember the double action first trigger pull of the CZ . The Walthers have the same trigger pull each and every time. With the Walther Dynamic performance trigger the trigger pull is fantastic. I also shoot and have a CZ Tactical Sport. The 2 guns have the same grip angle and you can pick up either and acquire targets instantly.
I use Red Hill Tactical for my Q5 SF. When Limited Optics option became an option I talked to a M class limited shooter and asked him what he would suggest for a holster. He said he had tried Carry Optics for a couple months and he found that the regular Red Hill Tactical gave him a better and more consistent draw than he got with his race holster.
I installed the Dynamic trigger in 2 of my Q5 SF. The trigger weight didn't seem to go down but I didn't measure it. Two years later they have lightened up quite a bit...still haven't measured them. I use the SF for USPSA.
I had a port put in the right side of my chest Sept 2022 and it's still in. I did some heavy chemo throughout the winter and shot some indoor matches. I've lost over 40 pounds from the time I started chemo 205 down to 165. Anyway I have had no problem at all with dry fire or matches with pistols. I have not and will not try PCC or rifle. I think my port could be damaged from recoil.
I filed the flat part of the dovetail until it slid in about 1/3 to 1/2 way then I pressed it in the rest of the way with my arbor press. I started the plate from the left side of the slide, if it makes a difference I don't know.
I put 200 rounds through it this morning. Everything went well. No problems with the plate or the Burris FF3. I normally use Trijicon SRO red dot but I'm experimenting with my TS that been sitting in the gun safe for 3 years. The Burris FF3 has been in the box for 2 years also. The EGW plate was 49.99. Playing with Provisional Limited Optics in 40S&W.
I just mounted the EGW plate for a Burris FF3 on my TS today. The EGW needed a little filing to fit in the dovetail. I still needed an arbor press to get it in. The EGW sits pretty low. I'll sight it in tomorrow.
