I received my new Razor today from FedEx. First Impressions: Holy cow guys, you were not overselling this scope! Very clear glass, nice fine hash marks and crosshair. Going to 6 power really makes my old 4 power seem,,,inadequate! The biggest thing I noticed was how bright the red dot was when at it's brightest levels. I am not over exaggerating when I say that the dot is brighter than an Aimpoint Pro. I hope that is not just a new battery and it stays that way. Looking forward to zeroing and using at some matches! Also, BIG +1 on Southern Guns whom I bought this from. Very nice to work with, great customer service all the way from the friendly staff I talked to on the phone, to the quick and free shipment!

Hey guys, I am getting ready to plunk down the money for this scope, but just can't figure out which reticle to get between: JM-1 MOA MRAD Anyone have any thoughts on which would be best for the 3 gun game? Have any of you bought one of the above and been disappointed or have buyers remorse wishing you had gotten another reticle? Are the reticles other than the JM-1 too 'busy' for the quick determinations and shots we need to make, don't get in the way when hosing up close? Anyone know where the best prices can be found? Thanks for your feedback!

Update, I picked up the Ready Tactical 3 Gun Holster and am very impressed with it so far. Fit and finish are great. It really fits tight on my CR Speed belt. I have run it at a few USPSA matches and do not notice the higher cut of the holster affecting my draw at all. Put a loaded magazine in the gun (empty chamber), put the gun in the holster and shook VERY vigorously and it did not come out. I also put the belt on then and jumped around, moved around, same deal. I feel pretty confident the gun will stay in. Still thinking about a retention holster though for the near future. Thanks for all the help!

Thanks for all the replies! Right now I am leaning towards just not being a cheap ass and getting two holsters, no retention for uspsa and retention for 3 gun. Just have to do some dry fire draws with the retention holster before a 3 gun match to get reaquainted with it! Keep up the replies, lots of good info here.

Any hints as to what your other stages will look like for your first match? Any maximum distance clues? Approximate round counts? Thanks, sounds like fun!

Just picked up a Glock 34 to use in 3 gun Tac Optic/Tac Lim and USPSA Production, and was wondering what everyones opinions on holsters are? I would like to have something that has positive retention for 3 gun (had to DQ a friend last year when his pistol fell out as he was running) but can also be used in USPSA without too much difficulty. A few of the holsters that I have been reading about are the: Bladetech DOH Bladetech WRS Ready Tactical 3 Gun model. Any other suggestions, opinions on the holsters I have listed already? Thanks much for your thoughts!

sorry about that......got all excited with my PC and Mac since the timers appeared slightly off. One may have jumped the buzzer a little, but betting I'm one of those duplicates. Which one was faster, Mac or PC? What's the trigger pull weight on that MAC compared to the PC? Might need to get one for next year!

Do you have any tips for checking/fixing the interface and squareness that an end user such as myself can do, or is this something better left to a competent gunsmith?

Do you have a link to this video? I dont think I have the chutzpah to be smacking my barrel against a tree. Luckily, I had access to an extra 26" barrel that shot slugs well in practice prior to the shotgun match this past weekend. I will work on fixing the inaccurate one at a later date.

I went to check accuracy in my new Benelli M2 26" with slugs, and found that they were all shooting consistently left. I was using an IPSC cardboard target and aiming for a dot I drew right in the middle of it. With Remington Sluggers: 25 Yards - 6" high, and on the left A/C line 50 Yards - height was right on, but were hitting on the left side of the D zone 100 Yards - I had to aim at the far right side of the target to get them to even hit the cardboard on the left side of the D zone. Fiocci low recoils shot much better, but were still shooting left. Is there anything that can be done to help bring the POA and POI back into line or do I just need to know my holds?

I am having some issues currently with my Dillon D-Terminator scale, and was wondering if anyone has run into this or has any suggestions on things to try: I was getting ready to work up a new load, and turned on my approximately 3 year old Dillon D-Terminator scale. First off, it took about 30 seconds for the scale to go through the POST (Power On Self Test) when it normally takes less than 5. This is where all of the digital display lights up, and then shortly thereafter displays the weight. Next, I calibrated the scale and zero'd it out. Then I noticed the readout started gaining weight by tenths. It just kept going up a tenth every 5-10 seconds, getting up to the 4.Xs eventually. I unplugged the scale, made sure the scale was impeccably clean, and started over. Once again, it took awhile for the scale to start up. I recalibrated, and then the same problem where the scale just kept gaining phantom weight. I noticed the last loading session that when I was weighing charges the scale would float more than normal. I would put a charge on and it would first stop at 24.6, then go through 24.7 and stop on 24.8, before coming back down to 24.6. All testing was done with cellphone off and draft shield in place. Any ideas on what the problem might be? Fixes? Or am I now in the market for a new electronic scale? Thanks!

It's beginning to sound like if you miss this match you will regret it! A lot of great sponsors that are huge supporters of our shooting sports. Couple questions: Will their be any vendors coming and setting up booths during the match? I always love being able to meet the vendors and pick up their gear sans shipping. Any hints on some of the stages? Highest round count stage? Jungle walks? I know there is a ton of space at Sparta between the bays, trap fields, and all of the rest of the areas of the park. Thanks! This match was a ton of fun and well organized. Hopefully by the next match the rest of the range will dry out and let us spread out a little and stretch the legs of the rifles some. I was shooting at a three gun match this past weekend where they were using those little 5" devil plates at varying distances for pistol targets, and was having some problems hitting them consistently. My current sight setup has a Dawson Precision .100" wide front sight and the stock .125" rear notch on my XDm 9 4.5. I can shoot some pretty good POA/POI groups at 15 yards when practicing slow fire, but when I am actually shooting a stage I seem to have problems with the fine accuracy needed for those tiny targets. I went with the .100 front sight as I felt that the big chunky stock front sight (.143") was too big. That nice .100 sight seems to be great for size, but leaves an awful lot of light on either side when looking through the rear notch which I feel is not helping in the accuracy department. What do you guys think would be a good compromise combination to try for fast sight acquisition (some light on both sides of the front sight) without leaving a lot on the table accuracy wise (hard to get proper sight alignment with all of that light on both sides of the front sight)? 1st option - Should I just try the .125 wide sight that matches with the factory rear sight in order to make for a tighter sight picture? I understand this will slow me down a little for cardboard, but could help me make those little 5" plates fall with just one shot instead of the 4-6 shots some of them seemed to take. Will that .125 wide front sight seem too "chunky" which might leave some accuracy on the table? 2nd option - Should I try one of the DP adjustable rear sights (.125 notch) with matching front sight (.125 or .100), or should I try the fixed .115 notch rear sight with one of the matching front sights (.125 or .100)? I guess another question would be, are adjustable rear sights worth the extra cost? Once windage is set with the front sight you shouldn't have to worry about it down the road, right? Is there a lot of need for elevation correction with different reloads? Any help would be appreciated. I like the Dawson Precision sights, but would prefer to not have to buy all of them to find the combination I am looking for! Thanks!

What a fun weekend! I got to spend time with some of my closest shooting buddies, shoot 3 gun for THREE days in a row, hang out with some of the best shooters in the world on the range and at the local watering hole, and to top it off got to walk a prize table!! It would have been worth it at twice the price. A few observations from someone that enjoys this sport as a pure amateur: The pros that were on my squad were very nice and approachable. I had numerous questions for them after they had shot their stage and they were very forthcoming in the information that they shared, whether it be about equipment, stage breakdowns, or even about how they balance family life and attending matches. Their demeanor at the match definitely put the companies that they wear on their shirts in a very positive light. Stage 7 could have been improved upon. When designing the stage I am sure it probably seemed like it would be a great test of skills for all shooters. The only thing I would have changed about it would have been to make the slug targets worth bonus points to avoid the "take six 'aimed' shots and call it quits" plan. Unfortunately, once problems are observed at a match that are not safety related, it is next to impossible to go back and change anything without affecting the upcoming shooters, either positively or negatively. Thank you so much to Kirk and all of the other volunteers that took so much time away from jobs, family, and life in general to put on a major match. I can barely begin to understand how much time would be involved in procuring the match site, getting insurance lined up, buying targets, planning stages, clearing out brush for the stages, setting up stages, running the match, and all of the other things that I have no idea about. All of that and not even getting to have fun by shooting the match. Which brings me to my last observation/personal opinion... When posting on a public forum, it would be in good taste to try to offer only constructive criticism regarding the running of a match or stage design. Discussing issues though private messages, in person, or through emails would be a better place to air grievances with the match staff. If you have concerns regarding safety, right then and there during the match is the time to bring them up, not the following week on a forum. Tearing apart a match put on by volunteers does nothing for the sport and only makes the authors look like________. See you all next year!

Will there be any members of the Armed Services helping to reset stages again this year? Those guys worked their tails off last year. I wanna make sure I bring enough cash for tips if they are there again.

If it has been raining (current weather is calling for rain in Ozarks the weekend of the match), I would be wary of bringing a car instead of a 4X4 truck, it was a sloppy mess in 2010. Although I did see a few rental cars that made it through just fine!

I know I will probably regret this, but can I request some long range rifle targets this year? Maybe a few at 400 and 500 yards?
