  1. Thank you for the explanation. I can see the need for this policy now that you have explained why it is on place.
  2. I need to back out of the SMM3G match because of scheduling issues at work and just saw I only get 60% of my $325.00 match fee back... that seems excessively punitive for a sold out match with a wait list... Looks like transferring is out also... copy and paste from their website: As always, registration spots are not transferable and the refund policy will be strictly enforced. Refund requests received prior to: November 15th 80% December 1st 70% January 1st 60% February 1st 50% No refunds will be processed after Feb.1st 2017 In their defense, this was clearly stated at the time of registration but no one thinks they will cancel when they are registering. I really feel like this is bad policy for a sold out match...
  3. shoot some big matches and you will get free p-mags... I shoot quite a few matches and it is rare that I use a 40 but I have a couple with basepads. My go to is a 30 and I always carry a spare on my belt. Like everyone else, I have some 20's too and also coupled 30's ELS makes it so you can switch gear around and to me was worth the price of admission. I have a strike eagle on an SBR and I find the reticle too fat for my liking. I have had a bunch of scopes and I settled on a VX-6 and a Z6i both 1-6 I have seen an awful lot of JM Pro's go down at matches. I am in the minority in that I don't care for the Benelli. I do however LOVE my 1301C. I have run it for 2.5 years in over 30 major matches and I NEVER clean it. I won an M3K and I tricked it all out but I didn't care for it either.
  4. JP is the best you can get
  5. Faxon is under $200.00 You don't need an amazing barrel that holds .5 moa for 3 gun. My go to's are an 18" BHW and Stretch 16 but both are over the $200 mark
  6. One note on H335 my groups tightened up when I used magnum primers.

  8. I have had the same issue and I am running full weight carrier and H2 buffer... It is almost like the bleed off port is not properly drilled. I had decided to just run it as a restrictive gas block .
  9. I have the newer design with the melonited screw, they still lock up on me. I have tried to get in the habit of closing them all the way and then opening them back every time I shoot but I am fat and lazy and often I am shooting multi day matches and my gear is being shipped or carried by other people... what do you mean by bootleg config?
  10. Me, not in a Benelli but in a 1301C and it flat works. I use it at least 90% of the time
  11. No rifle "needs" to have adjustable gas. The real benefit comes by using light weight low mass parts such as a buffer or bolt carrier. A rifle length gas system has the softest feel of all of them. They can all be "tuned" to feel good but the rifle length will still feel the softest. Less gas will result in less felt recoil but there still has to be enough to operate the rifle. Either setting will have the same result.
  12. You are correct. 4.5 turns is fully open. Turning in from that reduces the amout of gas by restricting the flow. Turning out from there reduces the gas by bleeding it off. I don't understand where there would be much benefit to bleeding it off on an suppressed rifle. On a suppressed rifle my understanding is that it is slightly more quiet.
  13. I have both and I think I still prefer Odin Works. My SLR's, I still have 2 Ti and one steel, all seize up regularly and I have to screw around with them to free them up. I just put the SA on an 12.5" SBR with mid length gas that will mostly be shot with a suppressor. Admittedly this is a tough combo there is only a tiny bit of room for the adjustment. That being said, even if I remove the muzzle device I can't get the SA to vent enough gas to not lock the bolt back.
  14. Under indexing for me was caused by the tool head not coming all the way to the very top. I am running without the spring because I have the level 10 guide rod installed. I solve this by holding the tool head up at the top when I press calibrate until it starts to obviously pull down. I wouldn't encourage anyone else to do this because it probably isn't safe...
