Aluminum guide rod is GTG in IDPA and you will probably need it for the 9mm Trojan, I did. I had a steel MSH and G-10 grips and it was overweight with steel guide rod

To me the holes are just a few thousandths too far apart on the PT. It isn't very agressive at all. It also feels much larger than the SV IEE and the STI aluminum

I have one, it is on a gun. I would like to try it on a different gun i.e. an STI I have no idea if it would be as easy as just swapping it. I may give that a try.

I didn't even think of the skull tape. I am going to order some more lol

Dustin I am contemplating buying a second and perhaps a 3rd. I am shooting the SV better than I have ever shot before but I don't know if it is the steel grip or the IMM length gun or the million hybrid holes... I don't want to fork out 850 for another grip and figure out it wasn't the grip that brought me to the next level...

I was looking at the steel grip offered by SVI. I built one on their website and it is $850.00! Is it worth it? I don't care for the PT grips (too fat) I like the feel of the STI aluminum grips, I have on on my 9mm 2011 but I am again hearing that they crack. I have tried every manner of plastic grip, stippled, painted, Brazos ultra grip, etc. Nothing feels as good as the IEE grip from SV but wow that is a lot of money. I have never seen one come up for sale in the classifieds on here so I am thinking people that get them love them??

This was the first one I competed with me. Bought it for $250 from a guy at work who needed cash.

My wife is walking the dog on a leash, a neighbor guy comes wlaking up gets down in the dogs face before she can even say anything and he gets bit... He is a Pitbull and now we are in for a shit storm! I had an issue with mine, it started running very slowly. Saul was very responsive and sent me a new one right away. I am in the US, 120V but it is a DC motor... if you hook up the wires backwards it starts unloading your ammo lol

Its a trade off the full length dust cover and heavy guide rod tame recoil but slow your transitions because of the extra weight out front. A lighter bushing barrel gun with a short dustcover will transition more like a polymer gun.

shake it, does it rattle? look at the breech face and see if it is flat or does it have some wear and erosion? shoot it, does it group well? Does it make power factor with a load that you know should make power factor. Look at the locking lug areas on the barrel and in the slide are they nice and square or rounding off? look at the slide stop and see if there are flat spots

I shot this yesterday at Volusia I got 56 points in 6.91 seconds I am a very low B class open shooter. An open A class guy shot it in 6.74 with 56 points and an open M shot it in 6.10 with 56 points

Are you right handed? I put the thumb of my right hand on the slide stop as I am doing the reload, no real pressure it is just kind of resting there. I run a modified extended slide stop but I did it with a stock slide release also, and when I seat the mag my thumb releases the slide with no concious effort. Give it a shot. This is with 1911 and 2011 style guns. My Glocks auto forwarded when I seated the mag
