  1. So I usually run round nose 115 and 124s. Decided to load up some xtp's and the slide isn't wanting to go into batttery then it's nearly impossible to rack. I actually had to field strip it to get the live round out. I've loaded thousands of rounds with various fmjs never an issue Is this an OAL issue I'm able to run the round nose rather long like 1.130 - 1.140 With the xtps I ran 1.08 -1.110 Thoughts? 2. Have to agree. CGW is top notch. First attempt to upgrade my SP01. Several emails back and forth always with quick response. I place my order and in the note area I wrote about what my intent was with the parts order and asked if there was anything they though I was missing to contact me so I could place an order. Well they didn't contact me but they did throw in free of charge a front sight pin and wrote I would probably need this when I pulled the front sight as the original would probably get mangled. Now it's only $1. But it was the fact that they read the note took action and went out of their way to make for a smooth install. Big slow stupid companies view that as a waste of time money and resources. Customer focused companies view that as earning a lifetime customer!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Ok I'll try popping it off and reinstalling it. It's level with the left side and functioning it just has play in it that I don't remember it having and it doesn't sit tight to the frame Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. No one? Sent from my SM-T217S using Tapatalk
  5. I have an Sp01 tactical Pulled the decocker levers off upgrading the hammer this weekend and now there appears to be excessive play on the right side to the point where it rattles when I shake the pistol. Did I do something wrong on the reinstall or bend something Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Tok thank you exactly what I was looking for!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. So this weekend I final dove in and tore down my sp01 tactical. Replaced the bushing, the hammer and disco, and the trigger using the CGW RRK with the modified 85c trigger that has the two set screws. So I think I'm just too exhausted to work on this any more but I've been moving these set screws in and out all over the place. Right now I have full function and reset in DA and SA However I feel like this thing pulls for days and the final break is mushy. It feels like in DA I have the same pull length as befor just the trigger start location is further back And in SA I have this huge take up with no weight then a light stage and the. A mushy wall to a very light brake. I'm assuming the set screws are there to assist. Can someone just break it down for me the difference between the upper and lower set screws and how in and out will effect the pull Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk This is the new rest position SA rest position And this is right where it wants to brake
  8. Just installed mine. Used 11mm 1/4" socket and a 3" socket extension. Then I taped a punch to the socket extension. Took (or 6 good wackos with a hammer and came right out. Actually came right out clean could reinstall it is needed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Wondering is there is a flat trigger upgrade I can drop in but maintain the DA/SA. The ones I've looked at indicated SAO.
  10. So my initial game plan was to upgrade with an 85c trigger short reset and reach reduction system from CGW and also add the race hammer, SS guide rod and new wire recoil spring for it. Will that as is function with the kadet just leaving the main spring alone ? And if so would someone hazard a gues on pull weight. If the DA pull stays as is at say 12#. I'm ok with that as long as it's a bit shorter reach. But I want to get that SA pull closer to 3.5# short and quick
  11. I'm looking at CGW up grades for my SP01. I want to reduce the da/SA trigger pull and was also consider the 85c trigger and short reset kit, but I run the kadet conversion a lot and just want to make sure that I don't mess with reliability as it's been flawless out of the box. Are there any specific things I need to do or need to avoid to hit the balance between both uppers Thanks
  12. I am I feel like I'm all over the board. So I'm looking for my first CCW pistol and like many before me trying to minimize the risk of going in the wrong direction. I'm looking at guns from the size of the Sig 938 up to the CZ p07. Like most people I prefer shooting larger fire arms and want to make sure that I enjoy shooting what ever pistol it is enough to encourage me to be as proficient with it as possible Just not sure is something the thickness of a P07 realistic to cary IWB since OWB won't always be an option? Since I'm most proficient and comfortable with a DA/SA should I stick with that? Since my go to firearm is a CZ SP01 I figured it may be advantageous to stick with something with the same controls. Or do I go with a shield its light weight thin an I'm familiar and comfortable with the M&P line?
  13. Review is needed as well as size comparisons. Really thinking the sub compact is the way I want to go. But compared to a czp07 or shield its a big step up in price so I want to make sure I'm making the right selection
  14. Had been thinking about getting a CZ Rami or a Sig 938 ....well also debating on a shield or a P07 or p01. Clearly in having a dilemma. Than I saw the Sphinx sub compact and thought hmmm a more refined Rami. Was wondering if anyone has actually shot or carried one. I know they are extremely limited in circulation right now and if so what are your thoughts on the halo sight Thanks

    Rami P01 hybrid

So the other day I saw someone selling a Rami lower mated to a P01 slide. Sounds like a great combo for conceal cary. Wondering if this is something readily available for order, an if anyone had any experience with one?

    New grips SP01

So I know VZ grips are a go to option. But I was wondering if anyone has hogue G10 grips for their CZ and how they compare to the VZ line?
  17. How good is CZ? Even my kadet adapter on my SP01 frame has gone 2k rounds out of the box without a single FTF or FTE. Most 22lr pistols don't do that never mind an adapter. Gave my SP01 to a buddy who shot the M9 for years and is a pistol instructor. After 39 min with the CZ he said he believed it would make the perfect battlefield side arm and he wanted one. Yea. You can rely on your CZ

    CZ 83 .380 thoughts?

So I stopped in at a local shop and they had what looked to be an unfired CZ83 in 9browning (.380 acp) there on consignment for $400. What are your thoughts on the 83. I had been looking at a p01 or a rami for possible CCW guns or going back to a kahr cw9 or M&P shield. Anyone have one. How's the accuracy? And considering it appears to be unfired what do you all think of the $400 price tag for it? Would a used cz82 in 9 makarov be a better buy?
  19. So I finally got a CZ. Been waiting for a long time. Had had much. Chance to get out and shoot with a recent move new job and two kids. Well an old friend came out to visit so I figured great chance to take her out. He an I traded on and off with the CZ put about 200 rounds out mostly some cheap Winchester white box 115gr fmj This thing has totally lived up to the hype and my hopes. Here was my first 15 round group all SA Can't wait to get more time with her at the range. DA is long a little gritty and just too far a reach for me. I figure I'll go 500 - 1000 rounds and see if the trigger settles in at all on it's own or I'll look at CGW for trigger options. But man this thing is amazing
  20. A10X is gerge gardner of GAP rifles. If the man says no don't do it...don't think twice don't do it! The standard extractor for standard calibers is fine. As far as bolt work, haveing a a rem700 trued up and lapped is always a good idea if your lookingto squick every bit of accuracy out of it. How's the rifle shooting right now? I've see remmys that will hold .5-1moa out of the box, not always the norm but it does happen. If I had a solid shooting 700 out of thebox I would just shoot the hell out of it, and if and when it came time to rebarrel I would have the action done then as well. 21. Been working on and with computers for a lot of years. You won't regret going MAC. Yea they are more expensive out of the box but on average our MAC systems run twice as long as clmparable PC's before needing replacement. Hell I'm working off an 8 year old powerbook and its still holding its own. Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk
