I agree with Jaxshooter. IMO it is more difficult to shoot skeet and sporting clays with a trap gun than the other way around.

I have been using 147's with WST for a couple of years with no problem.

I use the JTE magwell and SGM mags. I have not had any problems with either. The R&R are nice though. I went with the JTE so I could switch back to drums if I wanted but haven't found the need.

The XS sights seemed too low for me. I could not use them, but maybe I was doing it wrong. -
You could cut the fiber out.

I used a Burris Fullfield E1 Rifle Scope 2-7x 35mm for a while and really liked it. You will have to figure your your ammo holdover calculations. http://ads.midwayusa.com/product/191894/burris-fullfield-e1-rifle-scope-2-7x-35mm-ballistic-plex-e1-reticle-matte

I had this happen in a match. It did it 3 or 4 times then never again. Sorry I cant be more help but I think mine was just a chunk of dirt.

I have used 40 mags in my 9 and they worked. I don't know if I would feel comfortable using them in a match, but I would if it was all I had. YMMV

I switched from the pins that came with my cmc trigger to kns because I did not trust the itty bitty circlips that it came with.

I use 4.4 of WST with 180gr lead and it works well for me. I will caution you to keep an eye on your bullet seating die as lube from the bullets can build up and overseat your bullets.

Wow now that has my attention, able to shoot both .22 and 9mm! 22TCM is not the same as 22lr

I shot open with a saiga last year. I took a couple of months to work the bugs out but in the end it was very reliable. I did all of the work myself and have $1500 in it. The main issues with a saiga or any mag fed shotgun is dealing with multiple loads on a stage and solving a miss. Example would be 7 rounds shot - 2 50 yds slugs - 4 shot - 2 75 yd slug all from different positions. You can buy insurance by loading extra rounds to compensate for a miss and burning rounds if you don't or doing multiple mag changes. Once your mags are loaded you are stuck with your decision. When everything works out it's great when it goes bad it's brutal. With a tube gun you can single load for anything that comes up at anytime pretty quick. Most of the club matches I have shot it would not have been a disadvantage to just have large extention tube that would let you start 12 or 14. So to answer your question for a cheap open shotgun I would buy a 28" mossberg 930 waterfoul and add a nordic +8 extention and maybe add a red dot if you have extra cash. You could add a speed loader or xrail at a later time if you decide you like open. Knowing what I do now I would have went with a xrail.

Two different people that I shoot with have this issue. It seems to come and go and both have said they thought it was their fault and were letting the gun bumpfire. -
XS SIghts...XTI Xpress Threat Interdiction

I have seen a set and they seemed low to me . The guy that had them on his rifle said the same and was going to return them. I guess he could have installed them wrong. -
I use a Bladetech doh and like it. Ready tactical and comp-tac have similar holsters also.

I used one for a short period of time. My opinion is that the stadia lines are too thick. I also think that if you are going to buid a low power ffp scope it should have good illumination and this scope does not. On the plus side it was built well and was optically good for the price range.

The Colt is really nice.

I have had a kahr cw9 for about 2 years and really like it. I think I paid $430. -
You should measure your waist.

I have one of these http://swfa.com/Burris-2-7x35-Fullfield-E1-Rifle-Scope-P48174.aspx and like it.

I have been using a factory 9mm pro barrel in a 40 pro for more than a year without any issues.

I have owned both. I personally like the vortex better. If you do get the vortex I would suggest the one with capped turrets.

I have a Kidd 18" stainless bull barrel and like it alot. http://www.coolguyguns.com/

Someone on the m&p forums was experimenting with one so you might try a search there. I think it was Dan Burwell.
